This car accelerate, brakes and handles like a champ. That’s it. I could complain about a few details but overall it’s absolutely a great sedan and you have the Quattro system to complete the package and drive with confidence in wet conditions. That cruise control paired with adaptive speed is relaxing when you are forced to drive in traffic.

Love the car,it is free of defects,a very smooth ride with plenty of power.It also looks good Audi serice is outstanding.

I love everything about this car, except one thing. When accelerating after stopping, it doesn't have the pick up like my A3 had. I was surprised by this. Being a turbo, I expected it to be faster.

I have tested the BMW 330i xdrive as well as the Audi A4 Quattro. These are both great cars. When the cars are not damaged, 330i xdrive is a fun car going 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, but the Audi A4 does the same with way better, sturdier handling. You will only understand the difference going up a hill, or in a weather condition, but Audi grips the road incredibly. Audi wins, but I had to check more than one dealership As for this particular A4 I tested, something was wrong with the sound of the engine. When I went to another dealership, the car sounded different and had more headroom. I’m 6’3”, and my head was hitting the roof of the car. I almost said no to the A4, until I went to another branch where the seat could actually adjust. After coming to this site, I realize this car had been in an accident, and yes, it does affect the ride. Great performance still, but do yourself a favor and find either another dealer other than Meadowlands Audi, or don’t pick this stock now. They wasted my time, money, and just smiled in my face, and showed me how dirty a game this can be.

Somehow during my test drive I failed to note how intrusive the center console is on my right knee. My knee rests on the unpadded edge and is quite uncomfortable. It is a major ergonomic blunder but my bad for not noticing. I’ll have to pad it with something. Fortunately this is a company-provided fleet car so I’m not out anything. I just get to suck it up for the next 3+ years. Lots of gee-wiz technology that does not seem to provide much actual benefit. Rather just makes life overly complicated and opens up more opportunities for things to break. Again, not really my problem financially except I have to deal with it all for a while. Cup holders are badly placed, jammed too far forward so that anything but the most petite travel mugs interfere with what few center stack buttons there are. This is another basic ergonomic error. Sure drives nice though! Mine is only the 40 engine but it’s torquey enough that who cares that it’s only 188HP. More would just get me in trouble. I just hope I can work out the center console thing so that I can stand longer trips.

The motor performance is OK, the transmission is good the suspension is fair. This is a 2 liter motor that is turbo charged to produce adequate power. Practically the same technology as several Mercedes has, among those the C300 sedan. The BMW 3 series outside of the M type has similar motor and performance. In short, nothing is wrong with the motor (outside of the tendency toward small engine and heavily compressed motors by most manufacturers) the continuously variable transmission a proven technique for long time now. The suspension is fair in spite of the low profile tires. Normally, I would stop here. I would, because for me outside of the technical issues everything else is irrelevant. Not this time though. Ergonomically, this car is a failure. The driver's door opening is the smallest angle in any car I have had or did drive, which makes the getting in and out of the car somewhat difficult. For that reason alone a few decades ago the German similar to the UL certification agency called TUF, would not allow this car to be manufactured. Although the car is a Premium Plus type, - in contrast to the MB and the BMW - the steering wheel has to be adjusted manually and neither the steering wheel moves up, nor the seat moves back when you open the door and this could make the in and out of the car - adding that the door opening is inadequate - unpleasant for older folks. The car has one (1) USB 2 type outlet placed in the front part of the middle console and one (1) USB A type under the armrest. There is no SD card outlet, no CD player. Two charger only outlets are for the back seat passengers. The Info system called MMI. Only touch screen, no selector wheel as in the previous models. The technical selections provided by the MMI system are very poor in comparison to both the Mercedes and the BMW similarly equipped models, e.g. the motor setting in the MB has nine times more adjustment than this car has. The MB has satellite radio (not only the Sirius) and I can listen to the radio from any country from the whole world. This car has none. The cost of the Internet related services for Audi almost three times more than the Mercedes and you have to have a cell phone that ought to be fairly new, otherwise you cannot even download the program. This is not an issue with the MB (called MBrace) that works perfectly well with a three years old phone. Small things like the garage door opener could be a huge issue with this car. The button under the mirror is not the opener but the on/off switch for the compass seen in the mirror. The programming of the garage door is a pain or could be even impossible to do for some folks. The way that this garage door opener works, I can safely use the word here; "stupid". I do not say this easily, but this is a car where you should not (!!!) change anything while you are driving. It is that inconvenient, complex and dangerous to do any changes during the driving. I have never had a car before in which I could not do everything I wanted during driving. However, in this car you could easily run into trouble even changing the radio station. By the way, all the MB, even the basic models have better convenience features than this $50,000.00 car has and since I do have one, you can take my word for this. The BMW similarly priced models incomparable better (I have driven thousands of miles in Europe) than A4 Premium Plus conveniences and ergonomically both the MB and the BMW superior (!) to this car! The storage places for this car in less than adequate. The glove compartment is just that; place for your gloves. At the driver's door side of the steering wheel there is a long narrow storage compartment for AAA type maps or similar size things. The owner's manual pouch fits there as well. Under the armrest there is a phone charger and the bordering sides are narrow therefore, better not to put there anything because of in case of a strong braking all the stuff will fly under the gas/brake pedals. You can put stuff into the two-cup holders perhaps. The door packets are inconvenient and small. I cannot recall any car that is this badly designed inside and I had many. For me the interior and the gadgets in a car never represented an issue. I look only the technical stuff (most people do not), and do not care about gadgets only the basic comfort and practicalities, which I did find acceptable in every other vehicles in my driving life and that means something because I drive since 1962. This is the first car in my life that is so incredibly badly designed that I would not recommend anyone in spite that the technical parts that designed to go from point A to point B are good.

I have been driving my Audi A4 for almost a year now, and I am so happy with my purchase. Great style, firm driving experience, good mpg, quick acceleration, modern technology, and reasonable price. There are only a couple times of infotainment failure that bothers me a little, but nothing should be worried about. If you are looking for a entry level small luxury sedan, this is really should be one of your consideration.

2020 A4 Audi has been in the shop TWICE in 11 months for problems with the CarPlay feature for the same problem. Part had to come from Germany and takes 7 days after being in the shop twice for 7 days. Car had only 15,400 miles in it. Not happy

This is the second A4 that I have leased that has serious problems with the MMI system. My 2020 A4 only has 4500 miles on it and is less than a year old. The MMI system completely failed and had to have a new computer component ordered and was replaced. The MMI system now controls everything in the car from bluetooth on the phone to the garage door opener, back up camera etc. The only thing it does not control and that was still working was my Satellite radio as it operates under a separate system. My 2017 Audi A4 had issues with the MMI system the entire 3 1/2 years that I had it. Different areas of the system would sporadically stop working. It has now been 4 1/2 years of dealing with this ongoing problem. Also the whole MMI system is down for 3 1/2 days for an upgrade. Seriously what type of technology are you using that it takes that long for an upgrade? This is my 7th Audi lease. I do not think there will be an 8th lease.

This is my second A4, I traded in my 2017 lease for a new 2019 this year with a few extra features. Overall, the car has a really nice interior, strong engine, nice tech features and sound system, comfortable seating, and decent handling. I am so very sorry, however, that I leased a car from Audi in 2019, however. Just days after taking this car home I called the dealer to bring it in for service. The car seems to drift on concrete roadways, which is very unnerving. I live in southern California, where many of the freeways and other main roadways are paved in concrete. For whatever reason, the 2019 vehicles just don't stay put on the road and tend to drift left or right. This does not inspire confidence in driving the car at higher speeds, and it tends to make me not want to drive the car other than for short drives. It's such a huge disappointment for a car that costs as much as it does. The dealer has not been able to address the issue and even Audi's customer service did not offer any resolution or even apology. This will be my last Audi purchase, unfortunately I am stuck with it now for the remainder of the lease.
