After researching this vehicle, along with the Maxima, Lexus 330 & Infiniti GS35 I picked this on its overall combination of performance, comfort, quality, and technology.

This is a truly awe-inspiring vehicle. It is a mobile testimony to the ability of mankind to refine the daily commute to a work of artestry. Prior to our purchase of the TL, we gave consideration to the G35, BMW 3-Series, and Lexus ES 330. The TL's larger size, long list of standard features, and reliability factor won out.

A year with the new TL

After a full year of owning the '04 TL, I have only two complaints. First, is the lack of a trip computer feature integrated into the nav system. Some product manager just got it very wrong to put the trip computer into the message center instead of the nav system like the Honda Accord. Luckily, you can work around this by booting the nav system into the Honda version, just change a couple of file names on a CD-R and presto - you have the Honda nav features including the trip computer with real-time mpg bar graph. My second gripe is the way the driver door springs back at you as you attempt to open the door. No workaround or adjustment according to Acura.

Nice performance and auto transmission. Could use a slightly higher spring and shock rate, though it handles well for a more lux. oriented car. The TL can be slightly floaty feeling at higher speeds.

Great Car. The ride is smooth and powerful. The look is bold, sexy and mean. The inside of the car gives you the bang for your buck.
