Just like my former model (2014 RDX), it will take a while to learn all the controls. After some training, I can generally operate the controls. BUT the owners manual is over 600 pages in length. Insane. PLUS I totally dislike the gps/nav system with the touch pad/voice control. I hate the touch pad as opposed to a touch screen or just manual selection by city/state. Much easier with the older selection method. Limited in flexibility when finding new names/addresses for destinations compared to the 2014 model.

This car has every option available. It is fun to drive and great looking inside and out. Very comfortable. People question the touch pad for the infotainment center, but we find it very convenient and intuitive. Everything inside and out is top-notch: the sound, the panoramic roof, the leather, options, storage sections in the rear etc.

I'm generally am happy with the car. It's a nice smooth ride on the highway but on backroads & it's a rough ride. If the road isn't smooth I can feel all the bumps much more that I ever have with any other car. I wonder if others find the same...?

Bought brand new in 2020. A month shy of 3 years and had a major mechanical failure with oil pump which leaked catastrophically causing oil contamination of alternator and other parts. Dealer first came back and said I need a new engine. That’s ridiculous for a vehicle with 112,000 km (<90,000 miles)

I owned this for 3 years. The infotainment system was glitchy from day one. Acura dealer could never figure out the problem. Back door hatch always squeaked when used. The deal breaker was the turbo charger having to be replaced at 42,000 miles! It was an awful experience! This was sad for me as I’ve owned a civic, a crv, and now the Acura. So I traded it in for a Lexus. Best thing I ever did!

Test drove the new RDX many times. Both the Aspec and fully loaded Advanced models. We own a 2016 Advanced and love that car, but this purchase was for myself. I loved the look of the black Aspec but couldn’t pull the trigger because it did not come fully loaded, big mistake. No HUD, no heated steering wheel unless you wanted to pay almost $800 for it, no active dampeners on a firm riding acura with 20” rims.... cmon! No acoustic glass, no 16 way adjustable seats, plus other features that completed the car. Then looked at the Advanced packages but IMHO they are not very attractive. The placement of chrome on the Advanced is horrible and tacky! Nothing like our RDX and the current MDX’s. They went from high class elegant to someone shutting their eyes and throwing random chrome on the vehicle. Then let’s look at the wheels. The Advanced rims have to be the ugliest rim I’ve ever seen on a higher end vehicle. Our 2016 rims blow them out of the water in looks and quality. Now let’s look at the overall design. Front half of car is great, back half no thanks. Definitely looks like a female’s car unless it’s an Aspec. Please get rid of the dragon tail lights! Subaru Foresters have those for Pete’s sake... Inside. #1 gripe is that awful knob setup for something you will hardly ever use once the novelty wears off, the sport/comfort knob. Cmon. That gets more emphasis than anything else in the vehicle. #2 complaint and it’s a big one. How can you put two water bottles IN THE CAR? You can’t if you slide the center armrest all the way forward. What is that??? Never seen such a thing. Hope you don’t like a big water bottle and a tall coffee mug, or maybe the passenger had a tall water bottle too. Ridiculous. Super fun to drive as expected but MPG is below our old V6 from everyone’s reviews on these forums, wrong direction Acura and premium fuel. I ended up going for a used RX350 not because of the interior issues or the mpg. We buy the top packages with all the features but acura made the Advanced packages ugly, darker colors especially and the wheels are just hideous. Loved Black Aspec but rides little rough with the bigger rims and lacks some of the really cool features. I hope acura updates the 2021 model a little bit and gets the new MDX right and then I will be back.

I've had my RDX since November 2019 and love it! The power is great, standard features outstanding and it's so comfortable. I previously had a 2018 Audi Q5 and was disappointed with the lack of standard features. My RDX ASpec included just about every for thousands less than a comparable Q5. I would recommend the RDX.

Purchased a 2020 RDX A-Spec SH-AWD in the summer of 2020. At the time, I thought it was a great bang for my buck. I was coming from a 2016 GLC 300 4matic that it traded in at 75,000 miles. Pros: Interior fit and finish matched and even exceeded my Mercedes (no rattles). The drive experience also exceeded my Mercedes despite this being FWD based vs RWD based. The AWD system is fantastic if you power out of a corner. Really loved the red leather/suede seats and dash layout and all the space in the cargo and rear seat area. Cons: In less than 6 months of ownership was at the dealership 12 times for squeaking brakes, tailgate motor popping noise, misaligned body panels, terrible paint quality, infotainment system and ELS speakers crackling, and at one point all the emergency dash lights came on and the car went into limp mode. The car was towed to my dealership and I ended up being charged $2,000 because they claimed "bad gas." However, one quick look at the forums on Acurazine will tell you this is a known problem that occurs when rain gets into the intercooler (there is a TSB). Acura corporate did not want to resolve this issue even though I have purchased over 11 Honda's prior to this RDX and the dealership never fixed any of the other issues. My car ended up being totaled after a tornado threw it over a mile away. Due to my negative experience with Acura corporate and their crappy dealerships/quality, my next car will be a Mercedes or Lexus.

I wanted to step up after all my years of driving Honda CRV’s. I was loyal to Honda so I purchased the RDX with the Advance Package. What happened to the quality of Honda/Acura? I had a popping noise with the lift gate as soon as I brought it home. Brakes also making noise like your rotors are bad from the start. Customer service listens and shows empathy when you call them and the service department tries their best to fix the issues but how many times are you going to bring it back? At least they are honest when they say there are no fixes coming from Acura and they will notify you when they do. Popping noise from lift gate is fixed the best they can but still makes a slight sound. Now lift gate is not aligned properly. Brake noise is less noticeable but still there. GAS MILEAGE SUCKS and dashboard dated with analog tech display compared to even less expensive cars. (See the Honda Civic). The digital display in between your analog gauges is useless. I leave it on “Minimal” under protest. Climate controls are also from the old country. Infotainment system has some glitches but touch pad is not bad once you get used to it. On the bright side, the ride is great, you have juice when needed, the sound system is awesome and storage space is deceiving. I have plenty of room getting my kid’s stuff back and forth to college without out my rear view being obstructed. I got caught up in the moment but I definitely have a bad taste in my mouth. How can you sell a car with all these issues the minute I drive it from the dealership? Acura should be ashamed of themselves for letting this car be sold to a customer. In this day and age with electric vehicles popping up all over the place how can they also sell a car with this kind of gas mileage. If you like Acura make sure to take a long hard look before you buy it. There are a lot better options out there for that money or even less. This luxury brand is just not what it is cracked up to be. I will never buy Honda/Acura products again.

Instrument and elecrtronics and poorly designed all the way around. The speedometer and tack are dim red and no way to brighten or change color. Put on dark sunglasses on a bright day and the dials cannot be read. In between the two are a variety of screen options, much of which is 12 point type and cannot red for driver with cataract surgery. The large screen sticks up blocking over the hood visibility (try turning a tight corner on a narrow road). The navigator onn that screen has very small print (miles to go, mode selection etc). I need my wife to put on her reading glasses and get up close to see what it says. The touch pad control is an absolute looser in terms of natural feel and need to press hard at the right place. I'm always taking my eyes off the road. It's dangerous.

I love how you can see your surroundings so well in the RDX. I feel safe and confident driving it. I love the apple play. Easy to read maps and voice while traveling. I highly recommend the RDX

My Acura is only 3 year old and we already have transmission problem. The cost of fixing it is unreal. Very disappointed.

After over 4 years of ownership my 2020 Acura RDX SH-AWD with Tech package has been a real pleasure to drive and own. I've only driven it 25,000 miles but it has been trouble-free, comfortable and drives/handles very well. Not a sports car but has strong acceleration and capable handling on twisty roads. Seats are comfortable and the interior is upscale and attractive. Quality fit & finish inside and out. The infotainment system could be more user friendly, however and I'm not a fan of the awkward touchpad set-up to control various apps. A touchscreen would be easier. Though not large, the interior space is more than adequate and works great for occasional hauling of bulky items. Four passengers (including driver) should find the RDX quite comfortable to travel in. Overall, I think the RDX is one of the nicest vehicles I have owned.

Stay away from this company. Our car had a smell and we let the dealer know. The dealer didn’t do anything when the car was under warranty. It turns out the sunroof has a leak and neither the dealer or ACURA want to fix the problem because the warranty expired. We had many Hondas and Acuras and the quality is subpar.

I love everything about this car. The sharp style, the comfort, handling and all the tech features. And I ESPECIALLY love the space for my handbag under the keypad area. My handicapped husband is always in the passenger seat and that bag would be on the floor or in the back. Every woman should love this feature too.
