Music Options-Truly stink
Just bought a 2025 Acura MDX. Got into the vehicle to leave the dealership and learned that Acura no longer supports Sirius XM. You have to use your phone data and upload Apple CarPlay. Driving is great fun in this vehicle, its my fifth Acura but now its like doing an instrument check on an airplane before you can start the engine. Because I don't want to connect my phone to the car to listen to music my options are a 350.00 add on that supports Sirius, OR I can listen to FM radio. Great, a computer on wheels that costs 65K and I am listening to FM freaking radio. NOT A SMART UPGRADE ACURA.

Cool looking car but...
Very nice looking and comfortable car. Seats are very comfortable. The car runs quiet. The transmission is very smooth when driving on highway above 40-50mph, however, if you are going in traffic for 30mph or less transmission is very jumpy. We love the panoramic moonroof! Sound system is great! Removable middle seat in the second row is also a plus. Wireless charger does not work properly, it charges for a few seconds and stops and starts charging again (I tried it without a phone case, same thing), so it seems like waste of space for that feature. Not enough space for little storage items. We have upgraded from 2017 Pilot to 2024 MDX , but in some ways it felt like downgrading. Space is one of these areas. For example, I had 16 big cup holder spaces (not even counting lower level door pockets, in which you can fit small cup/bottles, too). MDX has only 6! Two of these (3rd row) are too small anyway. You can also fit small water bottles on each door (lower pocket) but that's about it! Infotainment touchpad is horrible. We asked to make sure that the car has apple car play/android auto which run very good and without having to connect a cable which is great but who would thought to ask about touchscreen! How come this newer and luxury car that is supposed to have better technology does not have a touch screen display!!!??? The touch screen in my Pilot was a blessing. It's not about the learning curve of the touchpad, the touch screen is definitely a lot more convenient and a lot less distracting because when you need select something on the screen in apple car play you just go and touch there, whereas with touchpad, you need to select that thing by keeping scrolling to it, then press (ugh!!!) This is one of the downgrading areas from Pilot. Beware! No spare tires or tire replacement kits but turns out that you do not really need them because apparently these cars have run-flat tires (max 50 mph for a max of 50 miles, I believe). This is all new to me and I had to search this up because our lovely dealer held all these back from us including the touchpad, which I am very upset about.

MDX Love
So far I love the car , rides or rather floats thru the highway and roads ! Touchscreen is amazingly intuitive and instrumentations are very easy to navigate . Only somewhat negatives are no satellite radio (which I don’t use anyways) and gas mileage is not great . Other than that it’s a nice luxury vehicle .
