Used 2002 Acura MDX Consumer Reviews
Better than my RX 300
Had an RX300 before the MDX.MDX much better in my opinion. Better turning circle, bigger front seats, quieter moonroof.
? paint problem
I love the MDX however have had one disconcerting observation. The paint seems to chip quite easily.I have now noticed a paint bubble on the hood. I have owned nearly every make of auto and am somewhat concerned about the integrity of the finish on this vehicle. Futhermore, I have noticed this on other MDXs in parking lots. I found a newer MDX with a 3-4 mm rusted rock chip on the hood in a parking lot. This seems odd. I would be interested in getting feedback from other owners.

Fix the Clicking
We bought this car after driving many and doing our research. Love the car, but hate the clicking noise the brakes make every time you switch gears. We've had it in for service and called Acura's customer help line. Everyone says this noise is normal. It doesn't sound normal- especially for a car made by Acura that sells for almost $40,000. Dissappointed that Acura doesn't seem to think this is a problem, nor are they trying to fix it.
Sure beats my ML430!
An amazing vehicle and purchase process. Very professional and well treated by dealership (unlike my former Mercedes dealer -- traded in a 2001 ML 430, which was a piece of junk). My wife learned all of the controls in no time - very logical and well laid out. The most versatile vehicles we're ever owned in terms of flexibility. The salesperson noticed a rip in the leather passenger seat during the delivery process (probably from the mechanic who prep'd the vehicle). Immediately ordered a new seat cover, which was no problem.
update 2002
much improved in noise reduction(I can tell the difference since I had owned a 2001 MDX before I traded it in for 2002 model) well, still not perfect, wish it may enlarge the trunk space particularly after 3rd row seat up.
