Happy in New Hampshire!

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 6A)
As an update to the below, more happy than ever. 20k miles now and runs like a charm. Everything is solid, dependable and very comfortable. My son who is not a car guy at all (he is looking forward to driverless cars). Seems to like it well enough. When driving does not feel like 19 feet! Backup camera big help in parking lots. Have not had her off roading but effortless in nh … winters, ski resorts, etc. love the full time AWD in winter and the true 4 WD. When needed.really happy all around
Got a 2014 high country and very happy. While expensive it is extremely comfortable and easy to hop in and out. Fairly soft ride considering it is a truck with full off road capabilities. It about 10k miles and no issues whatsoever. Controls are big and solid, no rattles or highway noise and holds together in corners as well as you can expect from a truck. Pulls my boat and snowmobiles easily-not surprising for V8. I get 18 mpg no matter what type of driving. Makes me wonder if electronic mpg calculator is working- I never calculated it manually. People love riding in the back- as much room as a limo. Back up camera is outstanding which is good because this beast would be difficult to park otherwise. And parking sensors are helpful.
Overall, very happy with her especially the room and ergonomics.
Love my Silverado

Moved to BC and knew I needed a truck to tow our trailer. I looked at them all but ended with the Chevy. It was model year end and I missed 1 option the sunroof...but I guess I will live.
I have nothing bad to say about my truck all is good - 1 suggestion, see if we can make the rear bench recline a bit for the kids on long drives. We had an SUV before and they miss that feature.
Beautiful truck but stay away

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 6A)
First off I didn't have the proper choice in the Edmunds menu for engine. My truck has the 6.2L V8. So as I said it's a beautiful truck but.......
Frame rust issues. Front to back and side to side SIGNIFICANT frame rust by 20,000. I live in Michigan but it's kept clean and at 20k come on. Cost $500.
Towing. Have a 4k boat that I tow less than 500 miles per summer (short season) the … squat that boat (tandem axel custom trailer) put on that truck was unbelievable. Along with the sway made towing unpleasant. Added Adjustable air bags to the rear (air lift) and now it's a beast but at a cost of another $500.
Electronics. Had to have some towing sensors replaced at 20K. The truck is a computer. B-to-B covered.
At 24K the engine light came on accompanied by an awful noise. Originally said lifters (really at 24K) but turned out to be a bent pushrod. How does that happen at 24k miles? B-to-B covered.
Update: 40k miles, out of warranty now and complete engine rebuild. GM kicked in $1,700 (wow). Seems to be the active fuel management causing these failures. As stated stay away. I'm done with GM all together.
Can't recommend I'm worried about my out of pocket when the warranty period is over. GM quality is NOT what it used to be.
