2016 Jaguar XF To Arrive at Dealerships This Fall: 2015 New York Auto Show

MAHWAH, New Jersey — The redesigned 2016 Jaguar XF midsize luxury sedan will be unveiled on March 24 in a high-wire stunt in London and arrive at U.S. Jaguar dealerships this fall, the automaker said on Tuesday. The Jaguar XF makes its formal debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show.

Pricing has not been announced.

Two teaser photos, showing a wraparound cabin and a stylish exterior look, give car shoppers a preview of the XF. The car will feature the brand's aluminum-intensive platform.

"I believe the all-new Jaguar XF will be the best-looking car in its class," said Ian Callum, Jaguar director of design, in a statement.

Key competitors in this segment include the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The XF "will offer exceptional levels of technology, refinement, luxury and comfort," said the automaker.

The March 24 unveiling includes a high-wire act with the help of British stuntman Jim Dowdall, a movie veteran whose credentials include Bond, Bourne and Indiana Jones.

"The dramatic drive across two 1.3-inch-diameter wires suspended high above water will highlight the light weight and agile credentials of the new Jaguar XF," the company said.

Edmunds says: Jaguar hopes to make the XF a more mainstream choice for luxury car shoppers with this redesign.
