MY 20th AE
I enjoy the car very much i did do the ko4 upgrade witch did make it faster and more enjoyable.. I think the ko4 should have been stock like the audi 225Q, stock handles ok.. braking power is great with the stock bigger brakes. great seats and body style..

German Quality
I owned a '97 Jetta GLX-VR6 and was very skeptical about the 1.8t GTI. While it does not have the torque and power of the 97 Jetta GLX-VR6, I am please with the overall quality of this vehicle. VW has made great improvements in the fit and finish, primarily in the interior. I test drove, and was considering the Nissan Sentra Spec-V, but the fit and finish of the GTI brought me back to Volkswagen.
The Best GTI Yet!
This is my third GTI after owning an '87 16V and then a '95 VR6. I feel all of my complaints with the other two were addressed with the Anniversary Edition. There is no more rolling through the curves, no more wobbly shifter, and a tighter suspension. This car is hot looking and fun to drive!
2003 gti
Mine is a 2003 GTI 1.8turbo. I hope I have the new metal window regulators, and the new "j" type coil packs. For people reading this if I have the two items listed above I would give this car a 10!. GTI 2002 and earlier have had so many issues with these two problems. Infact I believe VW is doing what they call "a silent recall" regarding these issues. But the good news is....even if it does break your still under warranty right ! Bad news is...will they have the part ? So my overall score would be a 8.5 . Fun to drive, good looks, handles good for stock, fast even un-chipped, and a new better longer warranty from vw starting for the 2002 and up modles.
