2011 Jaguar XJ
The reviews that suggest problems are inconsistent with my own personal experience. My 2011 replaced a 2008 BMW 750Li, and I currently own the Jaguar and a Mercedes GLS. Hands down the Jaguar has provided the most rewarding ownership experience. Out-of-pocket expenses other than annual scheduled maintenance, a new set of tires and a replacement battery is approximately $350.00 for a … locking motor. That's 8 1/2 years and 102,000 miles. Apart from its having a bit more road noise than the 2008 BMW and an infuriatingly large and heavy keyless entry/ignition fob (both resolved in later versions), this car has delivered more satisfaction than any other I have ever owned. I have been waiting for its replacement, only to find it's not going to be replaced as a gasoline powered vehicle. Because of that and only because of that I have ordered a 2020 BMW 750. The MPG rating below is based on my driving pattern, which is 70% highway driving.
