Great improvement over the previous gen. model

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Probably the greatest feature of this truck over the previous generations duramax is the new LP5 engine with new high pressure fuel pump. The previous Duramax LML was a rolling time bomb and when it failed it sent shrapnel through the complete fuel system requiring about 10K in repairs if out of warranty. This next generation is more refined then my 13 with updated instrumentation a … nicer interior and is rock solid. I test drove both a F250/350 Powerstroke and the Dodge with the Cummins, this new Duramax engine is smoother, quieter and quicker and shifts better then the other 2. I was going to purchase a 2020 but after seeing the fugly front end of the next gen I said lets by the 2019 and boy am I glad I did. So far 20k and it hasn't missed a beat and the fuel economy is up over the 2013. About my only gripe Chevy could have done a better job with the interior, it is really not up to par to the Dodge offering considering it is a premium model. I have always been a GM person but when I consider the service quality the GM dealers provide I seriously doubt I will purchase another GM vehicle.
