love it!
i bought this in vancouver for $500, from a guy from calgary who needed to upsize his vehicle for work. this was my personal covid bubble, and when i decided to move to toronto, i packed it with all my gear, in the back seat, in the trunk, with a topper and my bike hanging off the back, and i drove it across canada with zero issues. i wish i had some a/c and cruise control, but i managed. i still use it to get around the gta as well as trips to montreal and elsewhere. you know it's a keeper when your mechanic keeps asking to buy it from you. i've done a bit work to it, but minimally - oil changes, new battery and bulbs. as long as the body lasts, i'm confident about the engine. i have plans to take it to central/south america at some point, without hesitation. i just love it!
My choice for greatest beater of all time
I'm on my second Tercel. I bought my first one for $250, with 330,000 kms, the whole car was worn out & everything except the engine & transmission needed a fix. After me & my sister fixed up a few things, she took possession of it & she's still driving it after almost 3 years. I purchased my next one in September 2021 for $900, with 245,000 kms. I am going to try and wear it down but ive got a feeling it'll still be taking me where i want to go for another 245,000 kms. This thing wont die! If you've only got one paycheque to buy a car & you need a reliable car, this is the car to buy.
