Used 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4dr SUV (2.5L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Rav4 impresses me time and time again!
I am on my 3rd Toyota Rav4 and I have loved each one. They are dependable, safe and are perfect for someone who doesn't want a car but doesn't want a large SUV. The seats have lumbar support which make long rides a breeze. The MPG I have found to be very comparable to the competition and have no complaints. It heats up very fast as well even in Maine's below 0 weather! It has good acceleration and braking. It is great in snow and had kept my family and friends safe. I will continue to buy them as long as they make them!

Test drive assessement
We have owned two RAV's each about 8 years old. They have performed well, are easy to drive and average 26 mpg overall using regular gas! There interiors are industrial spartan, but functional. Interior room is spacious and cargo capacity tremendous, probably the best in class. Both RAV's suffer from road conditions....they drive harsh, interior noise is deafening at times when driving surrounded by larger vehicles, and lack "umph" when acceleration is needed. We tested the 2018 and 2019, anticipating two new purchases. The redesigned 2019 was a disappointment. The interior, although an improvement is still fairly spartan. The drive is still noisy and harsh. The navigation system is from hunger and for whatever reason, Toyota has not incorporated Android play into the electronics....big mistake. We have test driven the Subaru Forrester and the new Ascent. We will be purchasing one of each, a his and hers! They offer superior ride, quiet and more upscale interior. Android play is standard, and the electronics are clear, easy to use and state of the art. The lifetime maintenance agreement beats Toyota's hands down! Interestingly, our three children traded their Toyotas for two new model Subarus and on one Honda....

Toyota doesn't care anymore
I leased a 2018 XLE, right out of the gate the brake pads clunk when backing out of a parking space and then driving forward. The suspension is like a buckboard jumping side to side going around a corner. The drivers seat side bolster frame digs into your ribs. Toyota's response what did the dealer say... nothing wrong, that's how they're built, Toyota well that's the way it is, never bothered to confirm. For $29000 it's a joke. I've owned 7 over 20 years, it was a comfortable great product, not anymore. Nissan ,Hyundai or Kia next time.

Death Trap - Immediate Recall is Needed
The headlights on the 2018 RAV4 XLE do not work in rural areas. A black line appears across the top two thirds of the windshield and visibility from the lower third of the windshield is not more than 75 feet. This vehicle should be considered a lemon. It is a death trap for anyone driving on unlit roads. Shame on Toyota for not issuing an immediate recall.

Love it
I love this vehicle. It handles great, gets great gas mileage, and is surprisingly roomy. Maintenance free for 2 years or 25,000 is a definite plus. I have no complaints!
