All reviews we read from different sources were spot on. Car is just we wanted, moved up to the EXL and felt it was worth the extra investment. We have had the car only for 2 weeks but love all the features and are excited when we learn something new thats cool about the car.

Will never buy RAV4 again

I bought RAV4 on 01 Dec 2018 after I traded in my 2008 Toyota Camry. It was late evening and I hade short test drive around the city , the highway was fully jammed, the traffic was heavy and I did not have a chance to drive the car on highway. That caused all the complications after I bought the car. It was late evening and I was harried to finish the deal and I did the wrong thing ever. Never take the first offer, test drive the car day or two. get a real picture of the comfort. After I left Toyota dealership and got on highway I found that Rav 4 has extremely noisy engine. It sounds like the airplane is flying on top of your head. it's very noisy inside of the cabin, like it is not hermetically closed. The sound of the rough , stiff tiers on the road, screaming engine and outside wind makes unbearable noise inside of the cabin. I can't run webex meetings in the car as usually because I can't clearly here the voice of my colleagues. Car has also heavy steering, The fuel usage is also awful, I am adding gas more frequently than for Camry Le 2008 for the same driving distances. The interior design is more for the men than a women. My mistake. I am having a headache every day driving 22 miles on highway one way to work. The noise level and the fuel usage are the major complains I have for this car. The horrible part is that I can't return the car ( may be I can, tell me about it if you know more and the way) . if I trade in this car to buy a new one I will loose lots of money. I don't like the cargo area. I bought an organizer to keep the shopping bags still. when they are moving during the driving that makes an additional noise . I need to tight up the plastic bags otherwise when I am opening the trunk door all the shopping falls under my feet. If I had a chance I would have bought CAMRY 2019

My 2010 Nissan has better navigation system and usb work better. So this 2018 should be better but not. Navigation system looks so cheap and old. The usb with music don't let me choose my folders everything is mixed.. Really disappointed with this technology

How to please your' Wife

A very comfortable ride, shift smoothly, the steering is positive. It came with a sun roof that I don't for and I am not a big fan of leather upholstery. The wife loves it, so that is all that matters to me.

I have great concern about fuel economy . I have been observing the fuel economy since 2013 . The fuel economy of 2013 toyota rav4 was 22 in city and 28 on the high way . when I checked the fuel economy of 2018 toyota rav4 , I found still same . we being the reliable customers , the fuel economy of 2019 toyota rav4 will be 26 in the city and 35 on the highway as same as honda crv. thanks.
