What a let down!
I've had the vehicle for less than a year and I've had the brakes replaced (this was one of their technical service bullitens--a recall they didn't want me to know about until after the brakes failed and left me smashed at the bottom of a cliff somewhere), new pads put on, the stereo has had to be replaced--all this on top of it's horribly slow pick up (transmission won't shift until it warms up), and other odd noises that make me question the reliability almost daily! I've had enough--I'm trading in this piece of @#!* for a Hyundai! Toyota really blew it for me--I'm telling everyone I know and I'll probably never buy one again!!
Love Love Love!
I had this car for almost two years and I loved it. I drove back and forth from school and back about two or three times a month. It is the best on the highway with gas, dependability, barely any noise, smooth driving and so many more things to love about this car. This car was very reliable and saved so much money on gas. I went to the mechanics only for oil changes and that is it. This car is by far the best car I will ever have. It is pretty cute as well. SADLY, I had to give it up because we got into an accident but besides that it was the love of my life. If you're looking for a safe, good on gas, and dependable car this is the one for you.

Great.. until 2/2010
I have to say- other than oil changes and tire rotations- the usual stuff; I have never had any major expenses (5 years- second owner). BUT In Feb 2010 I did have to spend 1700 on a new 'brain' and O2 sensor and battery. Now, it is in the shop again- sounding and feeling like a helicopter. So I have to give my old girl credit for 5 years (got her 2005) she has been an angel. Now she is being a bit greedy-but it is long over due. IF I have to buy a new car- I would get a RAV 4 again or maybe a highlander- little bit bigger and those are now HYBRID.
I love the way it looks outside...
but i think the seats are kind of cheesy. it's pretty fun to drive, but i wish i had gone with an automatic. i get sick of shifting in traffic.
Old Reliable
I've had my Rav for a little over a year. While it's very easy to drive, it lacks power and handling. It's size is adequate, and it's easy to park in smaller spaces thanks to the short front end. I'm not too crazy about the exterior design. While it's an improvement over the original body style, it's a little too "cutesie" for me. It's almost like a station wagon on steroids. Anyway, overall, it's roomy enough to be comfortable on long trips, and for the price, it's a dependable little car.
