2005 Prius

2005 Toyota Prius 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Best car I've ever driven. It's the best hybrid available, as most other hybrids are not a true hybrid like this. We average 50 MPG in warm weather and 40 MPG in cold weather. Yet it does not lack power. The electric motor and gas motor combine power when you want to accelerate fast. The the gas shuts off as you coast, and the brakes regenerate the battery as you slow down. It's Brilliant!

Lots of Room

My husband plays acoustic bass and I have a wheelchair. With the rear seats folded down we have room for the bass, amplifier, other instruments and my wheelchair. Then we get 52 mpg driving in the mountains to get to music jobs. The car feels solid, the interior is very ergonomic, and all of the amenities that are standard make the car very comfortable.

Fear of Gas Pump Gone!!!

I'm a professional woman in the healthcare field who currently has to commute 60+ miles for patient and office visits...I've owned my Prius for a month. As a "directionally challenged" woman I'm now delighted with the direction from my GPS!! The gas milage is ... awesome: between 40-53 mpg. It's wonderful to no longer "feed" my auto more than my personal grocery bill!!! The Prius provides a smooth ride and is much larger in the interior than it appears.

Jean's 2005 Prius

The 2005 Prius is a fun car to drive. It's SO quiet and smooth and handles well. My husband and I prefer the Prius over our second car (a Mercedes convertible). Seats are very comfortable and have good lumbar support. The cup holders are excellent and very convenient (2 in the front, 2 in the doors and 2 for the back seat. Sound system is great. Rear luggage compartment is more than adequate. Back seat leg room is very spacious. Dash has a very simple and elegant design and is user friendly. Very large glove compartment and ample storage in arm rest console between the 2 front seats. Lots of foot space to easily enter and leave from the front and rear. We love it.

Great car ! Fun to drive. It has saved us a ton with gas prices so high. I would highly recommend this car to everyone. Especially, if you live were there are hills and mountains. Gas mileage is amazing. You can't go wrong with this car! Toyota has out done themselves.
