Travel In A Prius

My wife, 60 lb. dog, and I drove to Chicago. and back to Florida through Knoxville, and The Smokies. During that time the temperature averaged 94, and we went through two significant rain storms. The Prius averaged 52 miles per gallon for the 2900 mile trip, got us up and down mountain roads and the highway with no problems, and performed on the road as well as the Lexus and Mercedes sedans we previously owned. What a great car.

Prius is the best

This car is fun to look at inside and out. The mileage is terrific and it is great knowing how "clean" the car is. I especially love watching the mileage gauge when it indicates that absolutely no gasoline is being used, that all the power is coming from the battery. The smart key is a pleasure, not having to use a key to open the doors or start the ingnition. The radio and CD player are high quality. The transmission lever is a hoot -- passengers can't believe that's the whole thing. The infinitely variable transmission gives a smooth ride.

I Love This Car!!

I purchased my new Prius 2 months ago and have been thrilled with it. It gets 51 mpg on the highway and 43-45 mpg in the city. The car accelerates smoothly and quickly with no difficulty on the freeway. The smart key is great, I never have to search for the key in my purse. I just leave it in the bottom of my purse, put my hand on the door handle and the door unlocks. Likewise, the car starts by pressing a start button (once again, the key stays in my purse which is in the car) - so convenient. There's a surprising amount of room - no complaints from my kids in the back seat. I haven't had any mechanical problems. The car works runs like a dream.

This is the best car ever! It's replacing a Volvo V90, a big station wagon, and I don't miss a thing. My husband, my son and I ride into town together every day [saving more gas] and always have room to spare for our stuff. The car feels solid, looks gorgeous and our gas expense averages $15/week [and we have a 20 mile daily commute--each way]. I'm paying this car off as fast as I can so we can start paying for another one!

Bought this car in April, 2005 after 13- month wait. I was not disappointed. Car is everything claimed to be - fuel efficient (averages about 45 MPG), no repairs at all to date. This Prius is fully equipped with navigation system.
