Used 2005 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
LOVE This Car!
This is my favorite car EVER! It has just as much cargo space as my old Honda CRV (maybe even more USABLE space because the back seats fold down completely flat). I've been getting 48 mpg with next to no change in my driving habits and driving it is just a blast. I swear it seems like it had better traction in the snow than my all-wheel drive CRV. It's very comfortable and all the steering wheel controls make adjusting volume, temperature etc. a cinch and you don't have to take your hands off the steering wheel. The sound system cranks so while I'm sitting in stop and go traffic burning no gas I can jam and enjoy myself. All cars should be this environmentally friendly and fun to drive!
Great car
Got 53 mpg avg. for 8700 miles. Old car got 23. Go figure, literally. At $2.70/gal and 20000 miles annual usage, we're saving $2240/yr. So breakeven time for purchase price difference should be a couple of years. It is also comforting to know that we are killing demand, not people. This in addition to emissions reduction. Isn't this a no brainer for these three reasons?

LoveThisCar
My drive to work is 10 miles - half highway, half city and I have never gotten less then 50mpg. First long trip is 3 weeks off and can't wait to use the cruise control.

The interior design is wonderful...love the panel controls on the steering wheel. The fuel economy need no words. I figured the $2000-$3000 price increase will be recovered in fuel costs within 2 years.
Better than 50 MPG...Really!
It is hard to get less than 45 MPG. Yes, you can if you tromp the gas at the stoplight and race up the steep hills. But for us normal drivers, 50 miles per gallon is a given. It sounds like a golf cart (ie. nothing) backing out of the garage. It shuts down the engine when you cruise at 55 and you are on level ground. It will cruise at 75 if you want it to. It shuts down the engine at stoplights. It RECOVERS ENERGY when you step on the brake. What an idea!
