Great commuter car; nimble, fun to drive.
Odometer now at 67k. 42 MPG I get is awesome. That being said, I am all smiles getting into my Corolla Hatchback; its very sporty, super nimble, very quiet, easy to drive and brakes well. I was in the NOV 2018 snowstorm in NJ, and it was not fun, and for the future I am considering snow chains - maybe. This car is best in non-NE weather. My only complaints, and they are really minor is that I find myself forever fiddling with the climate controls - where traditional rotational knobs are preferred, and getting in and out can be a bit of a chore as it is a bit low and narrow. I highly recommend that it is really a solo car, adding in more that one person asks a lot of the little guy. This hatchback is way quieter than most and wheels around curves like a race car. Last, its not a quick car, but the first gear automatic really bridges the CVT power gap found in almost all new similar cars.

Stay Away
Hi all, I leased this car in Dec 2018. It had 4 miles on it. Exactly 2 weeks after driving off the lot, I lost power on a city street and highway. I come to find out that 3 days after purchasing the vehicle there was a recall on it. The dealership kept my car for almost 2 weeks to replace my transmission. After the new transmission, I have not experienced any more loss of power. Instead, a series of other issues. My car vibrates when it's on idle. The brake assist feature engages on its own and actually brakes the car for me when there is no reason to brake! This is extremely dangerous. Since then, I have taken my car to the dealership 5 times. I haven't even done my first oil change. I don't want the car anymore :( other than that, this car is fast and beautiful.

2,000+ Miles in 3 weeks
I'm a Pharmacy Delivery Driver. Every Day I spent 8 to 10 hrs of driving. I put 130+ miles every day on my 2019 Corolla Hatchback SE. Right now I have 2,000+ on my odometer. I heard about the Recalls I'll bring my Car to the dealership on its first 5,000 miles. I hope everything's good.. I heard a lot of bad things on a CVT transmission. But right now it's all Good. I average 33 mpg combined. :)

Removing all the good features would make it great
I loved this car for the first 1,100 miles, then everything went south. The Toyota "safety sense" features don't actually work. The lane trace assist, along with the Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise are horrible, and border line false advertising. The brakes will be applied fully at the absolute wrong time, like taking off from a stop light or 15 cars behind someone slowing down, while going 70 mph and another driver is right behind you. The lane tracing should be renamed trace the lane dividers, with the middle of the car.Or it will randomly decide that I am going to take an exit while driving in the right lane of a highway. It has to be shut off or you are going to be fighting to keep the car at actual center. I have brought it in multiple times now, with no resolution. The radio might as well just be a giant sticker on the dash. That is how it spends most of it's time unless you have an iPhone. If you have an android, simply do not buy this vehicle. Not only does the vehicle not have android auto, but the Radio is useless to android users unless you have a Samsung. They advertise turn by turn navigation included via scout link, forget that you are going to get a ticket, or crash, as the car will have driven you in the ditch or into the back of the person in front of you, while you are restarting your phone, the app, and the car's own radio repeatedly on 20-30 min drives. Worst vehicle I have ever owned, and will be my last Toyota (4th lifetime, 3rd in a row).

Problems
I got this car new as a company provided car. Pros: Sporty handling, impressive acceleration. Styling. Size. Cons: Slightly sharp ride. Rear passengers are literally sitting above the rear wheels. Problems at 50k miles: Microphone does not work. Cannot roll down the left rear window from the driver's controls. Bluetooth connection is temperamental. USB connection is temperamental (No, it's not the cable). Cannot reset maintenance warning message. Engine has a ignition miss.
