2017 Toyota Camry XLE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

Just leased my 6th Camry XLE. Each time I look around and always come back to this great car. As the years have gone by, I always add the new options, especially all the safety ones. The safety connect option is reassuring. The Camry is reliable, comfortable, quiet, plenty speedy, roomy and easy to drive. Terrific AC too, no wonder America loves this car, what is not to love!

2017 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

long history of reliability from toyota camry. practical car that will hopefully hold up well for many years. get the le with 16 inch wheels for better ride and cheaper replacement tires in future. the upgrade 16 inch rim is nice. i like its built in USA. it has low EMF (electromagnentic frequency) measurements as measured by a gauss meter. EMF is the thing people talk about under public powerlines that some people say is bad. rather it is bad or not its nice to have a car wired so its EMF is low.

A Greatest Hits album for a dying genre

The Camry has always been a good buy and great value for the money. This one is no different. It has a real 6 speed automatic that is tried and true compared to the lag and failure prone CVTs that are taking over. It also has traditional halogen headlamps that have bulbs that cost $15 to replace instead of the $500 LED units that are starting to pop up in other cars. I bought it CPO at 15k miles back in 2018 and it's now at 51k. So far, it has strictly been basic maintenance (oil, filters, tires, and one battery). Insurance is relatively cheap, I have gotten over 40 mpg while hypermiling on trips. In town I average 25. The V6 is clearly the better engine, but my 4 cylinder is easy and cheap to maintain, and it has enough power to get out of it's own way. It also doesn't have the sawmill noise that the old 2.4 Camrys had. Interior space is plentiful, it sits four overweight, 6 FT tall men just fine. The seats are somewhat uncomfortable, but I have done multiple 12 hour trips without hurting my back. NVH on the highway is a concern, and unfortunately it's a shortcoming with most Toyotas. For comparison, I rented a Ford Fusion for a 6 hour trip. The seats were more comfortable, and the highway noise was much quieter in the Fusion. Though I'm confident the Camry will be more reliable and hold it's value better in the long run. I thought the "sport tuned" suspension was a joke until I actually took it out on some back roads and beat on it. It's no sports car, and it's definitely more comfort than sport, but it corners well and is entertaining in the twisties. The Camry is overall a nice vehicle and is extremely competitive in it's class, but with SUVs and Crossovers taking over the market, I feel like it will go largely unappreciated. If you can live without an SUV, the Camry is a good used buy that will last as long as you keep taking care of it.

This car is sportier than the previous models. The interior feels a little more confined compared to my previous sedan, but I enjoy the ride. I love the ability to accelerate with little effort save a nice 'hum' that lets me know the transmission is engaging! My biggest complaint is probably the road noise - can seem a bit excessive especially when attempting to have a conversation.
