Do NOT BUY
I have had my 07 Camry LE for a few months now, and I am extremely disappointed. I traded in my 04 Accord and it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I am terrified that I will not be able to accelerate when I need it. Toyota will need to address the lack of power, I have to be very aware of this issue prior to making any moves on the street. I also am not impressed with the quality. My previous Accord felt better on the road. This car is too boring and dull.
GREAT CAR!!!!
Just purchased a used 2007 Camry. I really believe that most of these negative reviews are lies on this site. My car is smooth and well built and drives like a dream. I am very happy with the first 1000 miles.

overall a good car.
This will be my second review on Edmunds; I wrote a review on my 1997 Lincoln Town Car, which I still have and love. The Camry is my mother's car, but I drive it more often than not, and I'm writing this review because she would never say a bad word about any Toyota product. I'll start with the negatives: the interior is nice looking and well-designed but very cheap. There are plenty of squeaks and rattles. The padded dash was nice until it started melting in the heat a few years ago; it gets very sticky and a fingernail will scratch it. She did get a notice from Toyota about this but never had it fixed. We've had somewhat elevated oil consumption, although apparently not as bad as others; it has 130,000 miles now, and it's not that bad. The power locks went out at about 95,000, although that may be an isolated issue. The build and body quality is also disappointing; the trunk is moderately misaligned and will not shut unless you slam it. Some panels fit loosely, and there are a few cosmetic issues. One of the dummy fog lights fell out. Having had 3 other Camrys, including my Dad's 2005, this is very irritating. His has a high-quality interior and excellent build quality. All this being said, the car does have many good points. It's very comfortable and quiet, it gets good gas mileage, and aside from the oil consumption, we've never had a major problem from it at all. The engine and transmission are smooth and refined. All in all, I think Toyota is a decent company that makes mostly reliable, if unexciting, vehicles, but sometimes they ride high on their reputation; the quality on this car is nowhere near it used to be. I've test driven newer ones, and it's improved but still not as nice as they have made. Overall I would recommend this car to anyone who's interested, but people who care about driving should know that there's not a thing exciting about it or almost any other Toyota product; they always get you from point A to point B predictably, but the're very boring.

Woe is me - 2007 Camry XLE V6 problems
After about 3000 miles on my 2007 Camry XLE V6/6sp Auto, it's been in the shop 4 times already and the last call from the dealer was to replace the transmission. I have rattles on both B pillars and the build quality is rather poor, with unsightly gaps in the passenger side dash where it does not fit together properly. The steering is light and floaty without any on-center feel making for a numb driving experience. Lots of road noise on worn road surfaces. The 2007 Camry does not measure up.
2007 Camry Design Flaws
I own my 2007 Camry SE since April 2006. I have seen the following problems: 1.) Hesitant response of the engine to the gas pedal, it can be a safety issue on highway. 2.) Water on the seat when you open the car door or roll down the window, in a slight rain. 3.) Rattling dashboard when the car is cold. 4.) Uncomfortable head restraint, too close to my head. I hope that Toyota would call me some day to offer a fix to the hesitant engine response, as I am really disappointed with this car's performance. I'd like to keep this car for years, but sometimes this hesitation problems bothers me so badly that I think to trade this 6 month old car with something more reliable.
