Used 2007 Toyota Camry Sedan Consumer Reviews
Buy Somethng Else
The reputation of Toyota may have been hard earned in the past but now is quickly waning. The "organic" break pads went out at 36,000 miles. We lost the engine at 40,000 due to the engineers at Toyota putting a rubber piece of hose on the oil return to the top of the engine. Buyer beware! Stay away from this car and don't bank on Toyota any longer!

GREAT CAR!!!!
Just purchased a used 2007 Camry. I really believe that most of these negative reviews are lies on this site. My car is smooth and well built and drives like a dream. I am very happy with the first 1000 miles.
Wanted it the first time I saw it!
I just purchased this car last week and already have 400 miles on it. All I can say is: WOW! I really like the performance of the V-6, enjoy all the features (I traded in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid). I had to wait for the dealer to get one in and I had to put down a deposit. Great handling, great sound, roomy (a must for me as I'm 6'3"). Love the option of 6 speed throw shift or going across the column to the automatic. This is the seventh car I've owned and my first import. The handling is tremendous like I'm riding on rails. Steering has great response. I tried the heated seat option for the first time and that was fantastic as well. Trim is excellent. THANKS, TOYOTA!

Extremely reliable. Given high standard Toyota sets, a couple of critisisms. 1-Transmission on 4 cylinder vibrates and introduces noise at idle in gear [stop lights]. 2-The "Offer" to test and potentially fix oil consumption was phony. For me took the glow off Toyota's quality and ethics. Took in to dealer for testing; they offered to replace seals on BOTH oil pan and transmission to fix a barely visible oil seepage which wetted the edge of seal on oil [only] pan. Replacing seal on transmission was just fraudulently overselling; my wife and daughers would have been out $700 plus tax for NO benefit. They couldn't find enough oil on pan to wet more than a third of pan bottom after smearing around to make an impression [I have clean cardboard under car in garage; totally clean.] Dealer refused to test as my car was "leaking" too much oil. Went to second dealer who looked me up on computer to see test previously rejected and refused to test; blacklisted this customer. De Facto the program got cars in for dealer priced "repairs." Engine has run fine, but does consume .6 quarts oil per thousand miles. I wonder how many folks actually got engines repaired for oil consumption. Otherwise a fine boring car.
