LOVE THIS CAR!
I bought this car in 2007 with 80,000 miles on it. I never had to do anything but routine maintenance (tires twice and headlamps once) even though I didn't change the oil as often as I should (about every 6,000 miles rather than 3,000 miles). The car was totaled a few weeks ago with 150,000 miles on it and I couldn't be sadder to see it go! I have no doubts that it would have lasted me well through 300k. The v6 engine was plenty of power and it handled perfectly with about 27 mpg (mixed driving). Only complaint I have is that the interior was a big boring--I was constantly wishing that I had a sunroof and slightly "younger" styling. If I could buy it again, I would!
Nothing but trouble
Bought this car new in 2002. Has about 103000 miles now. Worst car I have ever owned. Had to have rotors replaced under warranty because of warping and have had them turned several times also. Have already gone through three batteries in less than seven years. The car recently started to run rough at around 40 mph. Dealers initial diagnosis was there is no code so no problem. Second visit for same problem and the diagnosis was a bent right front axle. On the third visit for the same problem the diagnosis is now the transmission O/D. To top it all off the radio is junk, and when you unlock the doors with the keyfob they stay unlocked for about 15 seconds and lock back up.

Horrible engines Do not buy
I have owned over 15 used cars and I have never had an engine piston ring break and crankshaft seal crack. This car only had 139,000 mikes on it. Spent 3500 on this car that thought was going to be great for my son and now I have to junk it for 500. It’s truly unfair that this is happening a lot with these engines and Toyota is doing nothing about it.

Best All Around!
The cars new look is WAY ahead of the previous (yawn) version. The interior is innovative, clean, sporty, and has ALOT of room. All controls are top rate, and ergonomically correct. The SE is as luxurious and quiet, refined and trustworthy as you expect for the driving you will do 85% of the time. BUT, it also has the verve to take wonderful curvy mountain roads and turn them into pure driving entertainment.
WORST CAMRY
This is my 3rd and LAST Camry. I previously had an '86 and an '91 and I am disgusted. The Seats are uncomfortable, the dash is to unusual and the styling is ugly. I do not know why I bought this car and I know I never will buy another Toyota. I should have bought the Honda when I had the chance.
