Used 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT) Consumer Reviews
Mostly a really great car
It’s October, I have driven 12,000 miles since June 4th. My overall gas mileage is 43.7mpg. That’s great. Toyota’s motto is “LETS GO PLACES”. It’s not that easy with the worst, most cumbersome GPS I have ever had. This is my fifth Toyota, and eighth car with an in the dash GPS and this one is a nightmare. My guess is they have a bunch of programmers sitting in a room who have never been on a road trip trying to figure what additional feature the can cram into the package. If you plug in your IPhone and tell apple play where you want to go, it starts talking and the GPS map shows you where you were going last week. It’s a muddled system. Enough of that. The car is beautiful. The interior is superb. The trunk is a lot bigger than my 2013. The safety systems are great and the heads up display is something that I have come to love. At the 10,000mi service, the Service Manager asked if I ever had trouble getting in or out of the front seat. I haven’t, but several of my friends have. The car is 1inch lower than my 2013 Avalon but it looks a lot lower and the doors seem smaller. It’s still a great car. I wish I could give it 5 stars but The GPS gives me fits every day. I’ve spent a lot of time with the manual and it really hasn’t helped.

Opulent Avalon
I am in love with my 2019 Avalon Hybrid Limited .As a former as a former Prius owner I was used to Toyota’s hybrid system ,which I feel is the best on the market. I was blown away with the performance, comfort and gas mileage on the Avalon. For the small price difference between the V6 why wouldn’t you get the hybrid ...difference is 42mg vs. 23..As their ad says “ Expect Compliments”...I have received a ton. After one year the Avalon has saved my life twice with auto braking and blind spot monitoring . The only complaint is the front leather seats are bubbling slightly . Other than that no complaints Coming up on 2 years since I received my Avalon ....still loving it and over joyed that I own it

Love The Blue
It turned out that finding the Avalon Hybrid in Parisian Night Pearl (Blue) was truly tough. It appears I found the one and only one on the West Coast. This is a beautiful color which my wife insisted we find. The beige interior is also great. As we do not have a dog or youngsters at home, the light color is no problem. Having another hybrid is great. I love the gas mileage. While the car is not racer, it performs quite well for most of us adults. The finish and safety factors built into this car are what we wanted. It is a very comfortable car in the front and the back. It satisfies our desire to be able to take others in both comfort and style.

My Second Avalon Hybrid is BETTER!
I originally had a 2106 Avalon Hybrid and was quite pleased with it. The mileage was close to advertised, but we live in mid-Michigan and between wind, hills, and the weather, you don't always hit the mark. Summers were around 39 mpg and winters around 35 mpg. That being said, the 2019 has a different electric motor configuration and it attains the mileage with greater ease. I had originally always drove it in the ECO mode until a recent trip to Florida I switched to standard mode. Through the mountains, a little over the speed limit the entire time, it averaged 41 mpg! In Florida, driving a little fast, it averaged 43.5 mpg. I am back a home and the first tank full leaving it in standard more was 43.7 mpg. There are some minor concerns as listed by others and one I have not seen. The radio did lock up once and I restarted the car it it never happened again. Just had the 20,000 mile service and they said they did an update. Putting gas in the car when the temp is freezing and the front detection camera was not working, it would not let me fill the tank with gas. Once the front camera was working, I could gas it up. This has occurred on 3 times, so it is not a fluke or one station in particular. I have told the dealer and waiting for a fix, but the weather has changed and it may be tougher to find. The USB for the CarPlay should be up front where you can lay your phone, not in the center armrest, or at least a second one up front. Last comment, the cup holders are a little too far back for a 6 foot tall person as it makes it awkward when two people are using them. Otherwise, the car does everything well it is claimed to and I love it!
