Great car- crappy nav system
Here is a problem I never thought about before this car- how good is a near luxury vehicle if the computer runs crapware? I have had my esthetically pleasing and beautifully driving Avalon hybrid for less than a month and have had the nav system replaced, repaired and retuned twice. The Entune idea is a good one but I am convinced it is buggering up the on-board computer. Still not resolved but I am hopeful this can be fixed...
It has everything!
I have owned a MB and a BMW convertible for the past 17 years. They both used premium gas and were fun to drive and handled great. The seats were comfortable, too. My new Avalon handles almost as good, the seats are even more comfortable (hugging me), and it does not use premium gas. The new electronics and technology is super. It takes several weeks to get to know how to use it but it is worth it.

Great car and value
With a new business requiring 140 mile round trip 5 days a week, I had to get a vehicle with great gas milage. I am a big guy and wanted something comfortable and able to haul people when needed. Had my sights on the Camry Hybrid and test drove it. Was ok but kind of blah sitting next to the Avalon. Decided to try the Avalon Hybrid as well. Comparably equipped the touring Avalon is about a 5k dollar upgrade but that is a great value! Interior and exterior styling is a huge improvement over the Camry plus some great extra features like the side mirror monitoring that lets you know when car is in your blind spots on freeway or multi laned roads.
The Best Car Ever!! And I have owned a bunch
I absolutely love driving this car. It is my sporty, luxury and best of all economical ride. I own 3 other Toyota products, a 2007 Lexus, 1999 4-Runner, and a 2011 Camry. But the Avalon is my favorite. Smooth quiet ride that holds the road while getting in and out of traffic without drinking gallons of gas. My Touring class has all the bells and whistles which makes a distraction-free and safe ride. The feature that has me wondering how I drove without it all these years is the Blind Spot Monitoring system. It is the absolute best technology ever. Thanks Toyota for the 2013 Avalon Hybrid. A great solid piece of machinery that's fun to operate and easy on the purse strings. Bravo!!

Buyers Regrets? None!!!!!
Purchased our Avalon Touring Hybrid in May, 2013. Very happy with the choice we made. Looked at the Ford Fusion Hybrid - nice car, but not as nice as the Avalon, whose interior is superior to the Fusion. Have driven 30,000 miles, a mix of highway and city, and am averaging 39.0 mpg. You can't beat that. Put everything together - styling, spacious and excellently appointed interior, plenty of cutting edge technical gadgets - and you have one outstanding package. The fact that it runs on regular gas is another plus. We considered a Lexus, but the Avalon was too good to pass on. It has to be one of the best cars Toyota has made, and it's made in America!
