Great little car
I owned a '99 Suzuki Swift for 7 years with no problems, except for replacing brake pads. I loved this car. It was completely problem-free for 7 years straight. Best car I've had so far and sorry that Suzuki doesn't make it anymore. It's nothing fancy but a great little car to get you from Point A to Point B.
Great car to have
I bought this 2000 model Chevy Metro / Suzuki Swift with 1.3 L-4 Engine and 5 speed trans. It has been great for the past 10 years. I took it any where and it just keeps running without giving me any problem. Every week it costs me less than $30 gas (even with today's gas price). I only changed her tire, and brakes. That's all I have to do besides change oil every 3000 miles. I have put 158,0000 miles on and that car still gives me 43 MPG on highway and 36 MPG in city. I just love this car.
Reliable and economical transportation
Bought this car new. 17 months of trouble free driving at an average of 42 mpg in the city. Perfect commuter transportation for those who aren't in a hurry to hug the bumper of the SUV in front of them. Comfortable front seats with controls and gauges ergonomically designed. Not having ABS brakes makes for some fun cornering if you're in the mood, but don't expect to accelerate past much of anything on the road with 4 wheels and a motor. 79 horsepower is the price you pay for that great fuel economy.
swift
fun to drive to and from work every day
Great Transportation
This is my first Swift but have had two Geo Metros (same car). The mechanicals are bulletproof. The car is very economical, comfortable and easy to drive. I have made 1500 mile trips in two days in these vehicles.
