Used 2010 Subaru Outback Consumer Reviews
What a great car!
I have owned four Subarus and this one is my favorite by far-in fact it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. It is super smooth and drives like a much bigger car. The ride is great and the handling is good.
Great Value so far
Have owned this car about 1 month. Have taken a 2600 trip with no problems. Great car, averaged 31.8 mpg @ 70 miles per hour. For the price of this car, assuming it holds up the way other Subaru's do, is a great value. Well built and very tight.

Roof rack no good for touring kayaks!
We bought the 2010 Outback in August and planned to give our much loved '01 to our nephew. Our long trip was scheduled for early September. That gave us time to attach our Yakima system for two touring kayaks onto the new car. But after frustrating days on our own, several trips to a rack specialty shop with different choices, and a talk with a Yakima rep, we realized that Subaru's new roof rack was not going to work for us. The cross bars are too close together, the rails allow no flexibility in attaching after market systems, on so on. Outdoor enthusiasts beware, this could happen to you! We put all our gear back on the 2001 and had a great trip. Our nephew had to wait for his car.
Luv this car!
This is my first Subaru. Love it! CVT transmission takes some getting used to. Car is bank vault quiet on the highway. Excellent on slick roads. Put just under 4000 miles on it on a trip to Texas in April. Twice during the trip got 500 miles on a tank of gas and that was with 3 adults and all our luggage and a large cooler. Can hardly wait to take it to Vegas this fall! I like that the car sets up a little higher than a sedan, makes it alot easier to get in and out. The only thing I have a complaint about is the drivers seat. It could be a little wider. The bolstering on the seat bottom and the back is a little tight. All in all very happy and I hope to be driving this car for many years.
Don't get the navigation
This is a wonderful car except for the navigation/audio system. However, the backup camera is a necessary. The navigation system is so bad that it is unusable in city traffic situations and is downright unsafe in it characteristics. It does not say street names, is unreadable in the sun or when you turn on your lights during the day, you cannot change or operate the nav system when you are moving. The audio system uses mhz instead of treble and bass settings. Also, no fix in sight! For the money, get aftermarket.
