Beautiful car

I like quite a few things about the car. I am actually getting 28.5mpg (75% highway & 25% city with very careful driving). The vehicle is comfortable. CVT transmission is really smooth. I am enjoying the drive. I used to drive Maxima before (265 HP), but I am happy with this. The interior looks beautiful, but some of the materials are cheap, can scratch very easily and I am sure will rattle soon. Wish they could have used better materials, especially when I paid $2800 for it. The seats are comfortable, but wish they were little thicker (would be more comfortable). The door lock knobs are a bit weird. Don't know if they are closed or open. And the locks don't unlock when you park the car.

When my dealer invited me to drive the 2010 Outback, I was so impressed I had to have one. Their CVT puts all the others I have driven to shame. The interior design and comfort is a step up. I am a long-time Subaru owner and this new Outback just reinforces my beliefs. Its a solid "10" across the board for me. Bring on a diesel.

Love my new 2010 Outback!

Trading my 2002 LL Bean Outback was not easy...but the new 2010 is such a great vehicle I could not resist. We compared it to the Toyota RAV 4 V6 and found the Outback to be more comfortable and smoother, overall. We needed to be able to tow a small camper, and the Outback has the towing capacity we need, without going to a V6. Gas mileage is posted at 22-29, and in the city I am getting almost 25 so far. And did I say the leather seats are soooo nice? This is our 5th Subaru, and we have had good experiences with every one.

Wife and I returned to Subaru after we decided to replace our 01 Legacy GT Sedan. The OB 2.5i with CVT does a very nice job regarding comfort ability and mileage. Regarding handling? If I compare it to our old land cruiser its fantastic! If I compare the handling to our old Legacy GT its terrible. The OB is a very good handling SUV and a very marginal handling car as to be expected with the SUV ride height and ability. Rear seat is king when it comes to big kids car seats and comfort etc. The CVT took some getting use to but it does a fantastic job keeping to the power band. Subaru needs to build a turbo and non turbo Legacy GT wagon! Not everyone will find the SUV/Car performance likable.

Have had it for a month and already drove it on sleet and ice for a couple of days. AWD was great on the ice. Very smooth and quiet on the hwy - doesn't break a sweat at 75. Handles well. Sufficient power. Not the best looking exterior I've ever seen, but all around great car for the $. Very few crossovers with AWD/4WD get this kind of fuel economy.
