Legacy
Our second legacy.. 3.6 ( 6 cyl ). Could not be happier.. Roomier and more comfort than our neighbors Honda plus the 4 wheel drive and the more modern safety items... eyesight works great but will take a bit of getting use to... drift in a lane and you get a gentle tug back from the steering wheel... Best is that a deer jumped out on a back road and the car braked... I think we might have still hit it (it just got out of the way) but by then we would of hit at 5 or 10mph not 40... the 3.6 is not a super mpg engine.. only about 20-22 around town but hits 29-30 on our road trips to the grandkids ( and our neighbor with the honda claims he gets more like 35-38 ) but for all the noise the reviews make it that computes out to a few hundred dollars a year.. if thats the price for 4WD thats cheap. very big trunk, remote start cuts out after 10 or 15 min ( but car is warm in winter, cool in summer by then ) Only complaint is that there are no factory bike racks... have to go with add on... Our last legacy really held its value. Always a buyer for 4WD cars here in northeast.

Great car
Love the car. The handling, comfort and safety are the best. Sure wish it had a front parking assist similar to one it has when backing up.

Hood issues
Make sure to look Very carefullu at the hood. 8/10 2018 Legacy (doesnt matter what trim) had hoods that were miss aligned. Unfortunately I did not see this until after I left the lot. My Legacy was particularly off (lifted up by over half an inch on the passenger's side of the vehicle). After I found it and brought it to the attention of the dealership they have been tring to fix it. I bought it back in February. I had to take it back to Subaru 5 times (2 hour deive for me) before the issue was fixed. I was also told that this was a known issue. Subaru...they are just apparently ok with having dealerships and customers spend weeks and months of headache to figure out this known issues on their own.

Happy with Premium edition. Only issues are:
Updating NAV maps is tedious. Harman AUDIO - needs more power and WHY is volume a scale of 1 to 38 ?? Which should you hear - map turn info or radio?? Voice command - if phone on bluetooth and you try to FIND something it prompts "Call Walter Smith ( or whatever SOUNDS like your search -walMart') I didn't say CALL I said FIND ! SO have to turn OFF bluetooth. NAV only saves about 30 ?, 50? items then Memory is FULL - CRAZY. My $100 Garmin holds about 500. Eyesight - twice has stopped me when not needed. Guy in front taking left - I see him, he's turning - but Eyesight stopped me in road - luckily no one near me because no need to stop ( unless he didn't move). It was doing it's job, BUT unexpected stop in traffic has happened and unable to move for a few seconds.

Love the car but HATE the cruise control
We bought the 2018 Legacy because we think Subaru has safe vehicles. We also have an Outback and we are very happy with it. Unfortunately, we did not realize the cruise control had been updated and advances and decreases in 5 mph increments. This is very dangerous trying to get the cruise set at the speed you want rather than watching the road. We have complained to Subaru and were told if enough complaints they might do a software update. We are even considering a different car that does not have this type of cruise. We like the car and it gets great gas mileage. We just wish that not just Subaru, but other auto manufacturers would go back to the basic cruise control that only increases/decreases 1 mph.
