Really great car. Great ride. Not a lot of road noise. Yet the cvt transmission has a very loud high pitch whistle. Its drives me up the wall a little.

Know what trim line you are interested in as well as optional equipment. I have had the car for about a week and am very pleased with it. Two minor annoyances: gas gauge is very small. They could have dropped the tach and replaced it with a decent size gauge though this probably wouldn't please those who want a manual.

Pros and Cons

Five day loaner from dealer while my '07 Forester was being repaired. PROS - Smooth Ride for a compact. - Decent handling. - Simple Controls (by today's standards). - Nice interior. - CVT is unobtrusive, smooth and simulates shifting. CONS - Tinny horn. Sounds like it came off a tricycle. - Pronounced road and wind noise at interstate speeds. - Tends to wander; constant steering adjustments required. - So-so acceleration. The sticker on this car is pushing $30K. You would think for that kind of money a decent horn could be installed. There is no Subaru kit available to upgrade, either.
