ive had my vue only 4 months and it has been in the service dept 5 times, from pink fluid leak to clicking noise under the hood to noise in the dash and the worst of all 4 times for a very bad transmission problem that is still no good. talk with the manufactures said not enough to be sent in as a lemon. so to anyone out there if you are looking to buy a vue, really think again.will be trading this lemon in may have to pay more but i want good and reliablity in a vehicle. fell in love with vue when i saw it now really unhappy!! with performance.

My VUE experience

Bought the '03 VUE (4cyl/5spd) for my wife 3 years ago, it now has 74,000 miles. Have many squeaks and rattles that have never been fixed. Factory tires were bald at 30K, replaced with Yokohamas that have worn well. Extremely loud road noise. Not pleased with the gas mileage, get around 23mpg overall, about 25-26 on the hwy. A strut bearing and something with the computer has been replaced under extended warranty, aside from that it has been cheap to maintain. It does fit both of us well, she's short and I'm tall. I used to sell Saturns and was confident in their quality. Have not seen the same quality in the VUE as in an SL series.

Last Saturn I buy

I love and still have my 1993 Saturn SL, so when I was in the market for a new car, Saturn was my choice. Sadly I made a mistake, since our purchase, we have had a recall for the rear suspension, had to put in a new transmission and put up with "shoddy" workmanship. My 1993 SL1 drives much quiter and better. No wonder GM is in trouble.

Best buy for the money

I had my choice of any vehicle out there. For the money there isn't a better value. Obviously you can't expect German engineering for under 20,000 but what you can expect is American quality and reliability with paramount service. Very fun to drive and the looks are both unique and stylish. I love it. And put snow tires on it and it can't be stopped.

Have 30,000 miles. Needed a clutch the first week, then motor mounts, then stearing problems. Had zone in and they were no help. Just had steering noise corrected in front end then appeared in steering column, came back 3 days after repair. Hood release cable broke. Does not handle well on a windy day and if a truck passes you it rocks and the wheel turns in your hands.
