Used 2003 Saturn VUE Consumer Reviews
If you like sitting in the waiting area.
I"ve had my VUE less than a year and have taken it in for the "Service Engine Soon" sensor light 5 times. The 1st three times it was the emission's, the 4th time was the coolant, the 5th time was only one day after the 4th time. They still can not figure out what is wrong and I have to take it back for a 6th time. The gas mileage is not the greatest. The AWD has kicked in unexpectedly when it didn't need to. I can't wait to get rid of this lemon.
Sad
My Vue went our last March. I didnt drive it much I had it for 3 years. I bought it at 54,000 miles on it. Sadly enough had I driven it more it would have been covered when the tranny went out.it was a month after the deadline. I'm surprised people are still selling the 2002-2005 at 8,000. They are only worth about 4,000. It was a decent car. It's not worth 8,000,considering the transmission in it costs 5,000 to replace. Oddly enough I would consider buying a 2007-2009, but GM is so hard to deal with.

Love My VUE!
I have been driving my VUE for over 5 years. It has been commuting, shopping, playing taxi, camping, and climbing mountians in Hawaii and now in Europe (we're military) and we have never had any reason to complain because we take care of our VUE. In Europe there are no Saturn dealers and we have had zero problems with taking it to the Opal dealer to get it serviced when the struts had to be replaced - it is over 5 years old now some wear is expected. The traction control has saved my can on the wet autobahn a couple of times. The gas mileage is great - about 21 - 24 mpg at 80 mph. I will be buying a hybrid VUE whenever this one is about ten years old. Until then see you on the Zugspitz!
Better than I expected
This vehicle is better than I expected based on Consumer Reports evaluation. The only real issues that bother me is that there is a draft of cold air on my knees in very cold weather, I don't think the heat from the floor vents is adequate. There is not enough storage for odds and ends or cds. There is also the smell of exhaust from others cars when I have the air conditioner on and outside air is turned off...very annoying! There is also a very bad, sour smell when ventilation through air vents is on. I have never experienced this with any other vehicle I have owned. Maybe the filters need changing.....I notice it especially when the vents are being used when it rains heavily or the car is washed. I have learned to turn off the fan that pulls the air through at those times so I rarely get it but I think I need to change the filters and see if that puts an end to that bad smell. the most important thing to me is that this vehicle has been very reliable mechanically overall. One other thing...the hatch door that lifts up in the back doesn't always stay up and sometimes takes several tries before it will stay up. Once I had to put my groceries in with the door resting on my back because I couldn't get the door to stay up :( .

V6 VUE ... affair to remember
-Thoroughly researched a new vehicle and never considered a Saturn. Now I am a Saturn fan and VUE fan. (Even toured the factory in Spring Hill, TN) -It has been everything I thought it would be and more. Each trip feels like a treat. -The V6 is smooth and powerful. The AWD should read AWESOME DRIVE. -The step in height is "butt" perfect. You just slide in side ways. No ups and downs. The 'tinted' windows look crystal clear viewed from within. The Cruise Control is intelligent and allows for acceleration and braking without resetting. -The electric steering is the best. Heavier at high speeds and 'finger light' at low. -Go buy one !!
