Used 2002 Saturn VUE Fwd 4dr SUV (2.2L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
Has held up after many years & miles..
I bought this car as a lemon in 2009 with about 85K miles on it. It is known to have transmission problems. The tranny dropped twice in the first year after I bought it but luckily that was before Saturn closed their dealerships. They pretty much fixed it for free which was nice. Since then the transmission has been working good and it is now at 140K miles. Somehow this car is still running with the very little amount of maintenance I've put into it. I upgraded the sound system and whoever installed it really messed up the AC, so that sucks. All in all this car has been through it all with me, my bad southern california freeway driving habits to my first child being born. I only paid $5K for the car and I am just very happy that I got my moneys worth out of it.

Add my repair bills and I could have bought a Land Rover
We bought this car new, since day one it's been a horrible money pit. Saturn found a way to get out of fixing anything under warrantee, I'm glad the brand is gone, GM shame on you. Sunroof has always leaked (I constantly am dealing with the drains), interior has always been moldy as a result. Fixed the transmission twice, in fact fixed just about everything twice. Car has stranded my wife and toddlers on several occasions. Worst car I have ever had, regret even buying any Saturn or modern day GM product. I'll never own a Honda or import, so I'll try Dodge and Ford. Whomever was on the staff designing this POS should go back to school, or design scooters.

what a headache!!!!
i hate this SUV!!! the a/c leaks into my floorboard(now being fixed for the 2nd time) the intermediate steering shaft has been fixed twice for rubbing/squeaking, it was towed cause the ignition coil went, and most recently the c. converter had to be replaced, this does not include the 10 minor problems i have had with the car. you'd think Saturn Corp. would care, but once you leave with the car, customer satisfaction does not matter to them, what a joke it has been thinking you could get somewhere if you talk to the big guys!!! you're lucky if they call you back!!! i cannot wait to go car shopping tomorrow, i am done with Saturn forever!!!
30,000 miles of torture
Where do I start. On my way to the airport the clutch went. Before and since it was fixed it is almost impossible at times to put into 1st gear, other times big problems shifting down to 2nd gear. Was informed that this was the way the car was designed, go figure. Air conditioning broke. Cap flew off windshield wiper fluid dispenser. Driver side door handle broke. Lid on console will never stay closed. There was a recall for something. Now it is in the shop once again to have the gear shift fixed also found out that not only does it need new brake pads but the rotors are rusted out and need replacing at a cost of $550. I dont want the car any more and am shopping around for a new one
The O.K. Saturn
The car has been in the shop for some just misc. items. The tabs in the handles keep coming out. The strut joint in the driverside front has been replaced and needs to be replaced again (design flaw). Service engine soon light came on @ 16000 mi. and they said it was my gas cap but I think it's something else. The antenna also keeps coming loose.
