Used 1995 Saturn S-Series Consumer Reviews
A good American car
There are so few good American cars out there. But my Saturn has been great. It is reliable and gets me from point A to point B with no complaints. There is nothing snazzy about it. Just good, reliable transportation.
Built to Last
Seems I've had a similar experience to everyone on here. I had to replace my alternator 3 times in 190,000 miles, belt tension, pumps, no engine or transmission problems. I've been hit at high speeds twice, and the car held up well, especially against the fort explorer at 50 mph, amazingly well actually. The car has never let me down, when something breaks you know it's coming. I want to get a new car, but i keep thinking. How much more can this thing go??? I've had it since 1999 and this thing has saved me a lot of money. I know when i turn the key its going to start. I think my car is actually coming back into style I've had it for so long :)
My Saturn
My car was a tough guy. I drove it hard and it took quite a punishement and still would go down the road. Only complaint is it used oil. Bad rings since 60,000, but took almost 90K more before I had a real issue with the oil leak.
Primitive But Reliable
My brother had one and it looked like so much fun to drive, I bought one for myself after I got back from visiting. Most fun to drive for the least amount of money. But I keep asking myself: "how did Saturn get away with selling this tractor for so long? It's crude, loud, it's like getting into a bath tub when you attempt to enter and just as bad getting out. And Saturn was going to teach GM how to build small cars? And yet, I love this thing. It was good enough at 116,000 miles that when my Cavalier was totalled, I bought a new 05 ION.
Energizer Bunny
This car just keeps going and going and going!! We bought our Saturn used 2 and a half years ago. It had 87,000mi now has 118,000. We are the 3rd or 4th owner and still it has been a blessing to own! We do the usual maintenance pretty darn close to on time and that's about it.
