Used 1995 Saturn S-Series Consumer Reviews
Very reliable
We purchased our SL1 new in 1995. We now have 105,000 miles and have only had to get new tires, a muffler and front brake pads. I will say that the car is starting to burn some oil, so that is disappointing, but it only appears to be about 1.5 quarts every 3000 miles. Aside from that, we have been quite satisfied with the vehicle.
Oil and brakes!
This car is cute, but Im constantly putting oil in the car and Ive replaced the BRAKES at least 4 times in 4 years! It also goes through brake fluid quite often. Sometimes I have to add more 2 or 3 times a year! I really enjoyed the car for the first 2 years. It was zippy and fun to drive, but then it started to eat up oil! Its NOT A FAMILY CAR! Overall I would say this car is a Money Pit! Dont waste your money on a Saturn! Buy a Toyota or Mazda!

Perfect 2nd Car
This was my second vehicle, and I had it for about two years. My little sister drives it now. My first car was 92 Saturn SL1, so the power features (locks and winders) of the SL2 were a nice upgrade. Great gas mileage. Small tank, but I still took that thing for nearly 400 miles before I filled it up. Back in 07 I remember it only took $20 bucks to fill it up. Great car for point A to point B commuting. Not gonna turn any heads, but that's not what this car is for.
Great Value
When we bought ours in 1995, there was only one other wagon on the market to compete. But the Ford Escort felt a lot more fragile than the Saturn. We've put 149000 kms (93000 miles) on our SW1 and have very few complaints. What did go wrong? The rear window fluid switch crapped out at 100000 kms That's it! There's not a lot of power put out by the little SW1 power plant and, when loaded up, it's a real tortoise. But, it looks great, can carry loads of gear, great on fuel economy, and has been a very reliable car - seeing 5 Canadian west coast winters and now onto its 3 Canadian prairie winters (can you say, cold and snow!)
95 Saturn SL2
Great car. Liked my '92 SL2 so much, bought my wife the '95 SL2.
