Used 2017 Porsche Cayenne Consumer Reviews
Great car
Super versatile car for all paternal duties. Fantastically designed interior, a solid but fun ride and great exterior aesthetics. Loving mine!
porsche quality and respectable mpg
I bought a used cayenne diesel platinum edition which had done just under 40000 miles a month ago.Coming from a Bmw X6 twin turbo diesel i was pleasantly surprised. The interior is first rate except for the fuel dial which is partially hidden by a wiper stalk. The seats are very comfortable and hold you gently on point to point dashes across country. The acceleration is brisk as i went for the 262 hp engine which is slightly more efficient and slightly more responsive than the 240 hp engine. As an all round package its hard to beat and the ride is much more superior than the X6 with run flat tyres which bounced that much it made passengers feel sick in the back.Would i buy another one? Yes, but it would have to have the panoramic sun roof which makes the black interior less dark and more welcoming.I intend to keep this car for at least seven or eight years provided it does'nt start to cost me money like my old mercedes Ml 420 cdi did in the later years of its life.

Doesn't stand rain !!!
I loved the car in all aspects except that there's a flow in the drain design for Porsche. First the drain of aircon got clogged. The car rusted from the inside while 2 years old. I noticed by level of condensation I got in the car in the morning. After arguing back and forth with the dealer everything was covered under manufacturing warranty. This year, after manufacturing warranty expired, I noticed the condensation problem came back. This time, removing covers in the back with dealer, we uncovered several inches of water in the bottom of the chassis. And water ingress in the battery. Reason was a design flaw in the rooftop drains. Water goes inside the car, invisible, and accumulates at the bottom of the car. Cost of repairs was in excess of 40,000. Car value was 42,000. So the car was totalled. Porsche refused any responsibility. Porsche top Management treated my request for compensation (even just a rebate on a new model) with disdain, arrogance, and almost mockery. Even though your car has only 50,000 miles, if you are out of manufacturing warranty you know what risks you are exposing yourself too. That was their response. To my knowledge this problem happens regularly on all Cayenne, Macan, Panamera models. I strongly recommend to stay away from these models with sunroofs and from that brand who is so arrogant that they couldn't care less about customers.

comfortable, but painfully slow
This is the base model. The interior build quality is very good but materials are plastic.
