Awesome retractable hardtop
Bought used in 2018. Nothing but good to say 2+ years later. Normal maintenance, not a single problem. Why GM let Pontiac go is a shame. Love my G6 GT convertible.

I spent as much in repairs as I did on the car
So I had this car for almost 2 years... and from the week after I bought it... there were nothing but problems. For years I struggled with keeping the check engine light off, they kept saying it was the thermostat and it needed to be replaced.... this was like once every month... then I started having issues with the ac... and I live in texas... black car with black interior on a 103° day in the summer is not acceptable... and the worst part was that they didnt know why it was happening... as far as I could tell it was some how connected with the check engine light because if it was off I had cool air... therefore in the summer I really had to change the thermostat gage once a month... Next in the winter months the heater would just stop working for no identifiable reason. After that also in the middle of winter, I couldn't get the car to switch on... I had to wiggle the steering wheel, jiggle the shifter, and turn the key simultaneously... one day I was stuck at work for 3 hours after closing to get the damn thing to start running.... the colder it was the more of a [non-permissible content removed] it was to get it to start. Next the catalytic converter had to be replaced a 2,000 dollar job..... I poured another 1,500 on the car trying to figure out why the breaks would stick and I would get stuck on the side of the road... not to mention the several times I almost died because there were no ABS breakes and no traction control... and a big down side for me was the speaker system was GARBAGE. Pros to this car are Good gas mileage It is a sporty looking car Comfortable to ride in for long periods And although it was a four banger it was pretty quick (Dont recommend going over 90 mph... the entire car shakes) The car only lasted me to 2017-2018... The entire break system got stuck, so I couldnt drive it and it would have cost 5,000 to fix it...so I let it go. As of 2021 I still have resentments... And I recommend staying as far away as you can from this car, it's a [non-permissible content removed].

Not a good buy
I have bought this car for my wife as a Valentine's present. We had it for 2 months, I have had it at the dealership for 4 times already to work on, Rattling noise in the driver and passenger doors, they worked on it 4 times and problem is still there, they replaced door striker, trim, headlining, also Covertable top has issues, replaced sealing strip, paint scratched off and broken trim piece in trunk due to top not being aligned when closed. Also A/C compressor leaking freon at compressor body, they replaced compressor. Damaged chrome side panel, they replaced it. Overall, it has been unpleasant experience, I am working through LEMON law to have this car returned. Would not recommend it.
I love my Pontiac Convertible.
I love my Pontiac convertible. It is very cute and fun to drive. Putting the top down is fun. I use it as a daily driver. It is a classic car and I love it. ❤️❤️❤️

Roof down
The car is my girlfriends. She is in love with it. I am a big man so that's the reason for the bad mark for getting in and out. if the roof is down it's a different story. Much easier with the roof down. I've had 4 convertibles and I really like this one so far. The only thing I dislike is the top of the windshield is so close to my head. We put two thousand miles on the car in four days and no problems. Great car.
