This car has been nothing but all fun. The only problem that I have had with this car is that when it was only 2 weeks old the top wouldn't go down. The dealer said that it was a broken hinge.

I purchased this car new 6/2007. I didn't even have it 24 hours and the convertible broke. 6 months later the rear and front main oil seal was leaking, the paint was flaking, the steering shaft was popping.

i dont know how to feel about my g6. (im more of an import person) i have an 07 GT with the 3.9 V6 (240 hp) it gives me many reasons to hate it but i cant! its got an extremely cheap dash and poor quality, but that engine and awesome styling makes me forget. i only have about 22,600 miles on mine and only 3,000 of those miles are from me, so nothing has gone wrong YET, but the g6's track record isn't promising! the car rattles to hell, and ive come to get used to it, but its semi rough ride enhances all the rattles. also when i pull into reverse the suspension squeaks and the car shakes, this is normal now but scary at first. it sounds like the maybe the tie-rods? they constantly go on these

I will never buy a pontiac again, or refer anyone to buy one. It's no wonder they are out of buisness. I bought this car brand new in late 2006 and I have had nothing but problems with it. I've had to replace all of the tires twice, the brakes twice, the blinker, the headlights, and fuel pump. I've had to fix the A/C and the A/C is out again already. I've had to get a new battery three times, and had to replace the starter. I could go on and on with things that have had to be replaced. People always think I get such great gas mileage but I only get about 19 miles per gallon. This car has cost me so much money. Do not buy this car!

I spent as much in repairs as I did on the car

So I had this car for almost 2 years... and from the week after I bought it... there were nothing but problems. For years I struggled with keeping the check engine light off, they kept saying it was the thermostat and it needed to be replaced.... this was like once every month... then I started having issues with the ac... and I live in texas... black car with black interior on a 103° day in the summer is not acceptable... and the worst part was that they didnt know why it was happening... as far as I could tell it was some how connected with the check engine light because if it was off I had cool air... therefore in the summer I really had to change the thermostat gage once a month... Next in the winter months the heater would just stop working for no identifiable reason. After that also in the middle of winter, I couldn't get the car to switch on... I had to wiggle the steering wheel, jiggle the shifter, and turn the key simultaneously... one day I was stuck at work for 3 hours after closing to get the damn thing to start running.... the colder it was the more of a [non-permissible content removed] it was to get it to start. Next the catalytic converter had to be replaced a 2,000 dollar job..... I poured another 1,500 on the car trying to figure out why the breaks would stick and I would get stuck on the side of the road... not to mention the several times I almost died because there were no ABS breakes and no traction control... and a big down side for me was the speaker system was GARBAGE. Pros to this car are Good gas mileage It is a sporty looking car Comfortable to ride in for long periods And although it was a four banger it was pretty quick (Dont recommend going over 90 mph... the entire car shakes) The car only lasted me to 2017-2018... The entire break system got stuck, so I couldnt drive it and it would have cost 5,000 to fix it...so I let it go. As of 2021 I still have resentments... And I recommend staying as far away as you can from this car, it's a [non-permissible content removed].
