Nice Mini-Van
An excellent vehicle with all the bells and whistles. I have found nothing yet that is disappointing. Peppy and stylish for a minivan!
The
Fun Fun Fun...what a ride. When it was time to replace our Chevy Suburban we pondered maybe a mid size suv will do,my wife insisted on an suv, ..."i'm not a minivan mom" she said,i asked her to drive it and give it a chance,5 min into the test drive she turned to me and said.."howcome we've never test drove a minivan"? as i was waiting for a no no she said "I LIKE IT A LOT", Haleluyah. The reasons for choosing the Quest over the Odyssey or Sienna are many but mainly the bold styling(looks alot like an suv),the interior looks like an airplane, and the room in second to none.

First Eveluations
Have been completly supriaed by the firm easy drive as compared to test drive of other vans and comparison to my other two cars--Chrysler Concord 97 and Ford Aerostar XLT Extended 92. Rides like a heavy/bigger car. Handled the Ozark Moutains extremely well for a 6 cylinder. Very little pull down on steap hills. Plenty of usuable space for pasangers and luggage. Initial impression love this van.
a must drive , # 1 good job nissan
we drove the honda and the toyota . The room is incredible, the seating positions on the second row is so unique, make sure the salesperson shows you how to adjust the 2nd row seats. the third row is so easy to fold flat, very quiet cabin at highway speeds, and the entertainmant system is a must have. if you like to travel fold down the third seat in all of the ones you drive and put in your vacation gear like we did. the quest was the only one with room to spare. you can look at cubic feet of cargo space but if it isnt usable it only looks good on paper. WE have owned 3 maximas 2 altimas and this is my first QUEST AND THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!
My 1995 Nissan
Our van has surpased our Chevy Van 20 whith more than 100,000mi and it still runs like new it's been all the way from C.A to Canada, even our cousin is imprest becaus there is no oil in the exaust,(The verey secret is you though because if you dont care for any car it will soon become a pile of junk).our Chevy Van 20 only has about 80,000mi and its already needing major overhaul.
Cool for a Minivan!
Fear of first year run, but no problems so far. We were looking at getting anything BUT a minivan to replace our aging Town & Country, but the Quest had lots of room, good fuel economy and was cooler than a lot of the small & midsize SUVs we looked at! Biggest complaint is that many options are only available on SE, and SE needs more interior options (see below).
Shhhhh... Dad loves the minivan
It had been monopolized by the wife and kids for a month before I snuck away with it for a 500 mile business trip. Loved every minute of it. The nightime departure through hill country showcased the handling, ride and responsiveness. Lots of power and was glued to the road cornering. No peering through the wheel to see if I might be speeding (I was) due to the new offset gauges. Excellent drivers visiblity and room. Audio system rocks. Quest is at home on the highway. Set the cruise control and enjoy the ride. Effortless to drive and astoundingly comfortable. I'm thinking Titan for Dad for Xmas.
NISSAN SPACESHIP
I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM WITH MY NEW QUEST. I WAS ORIGINALLY LOOKING FOR A 4 DOOR SEDAN, BUT WHEN I LAID EYES ON THE ALL NEW QUEST, I COULDN'T LOOK BACK. WITH IT WELL EQUIPPED FEATURES, ITS MORE THAN A MINIVAN, I CALL IT MY NEW ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. WITH ITS FLIP DOWN LCD SCREEN POWERED BY A DVD PLAYER AND 8 SPEAKER SYSTEM. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW. FORGET SITTING UPFRONT. I GOT THE BACK SEAT I THIS RIDE!
Worth every penny
This is a wonderful vehicle with lots of room and great exterior styling.
Minivan sports car
Not only did I have an excellent experience at the dealership, but has been extremely impressed with the van. It drives like a sports car, but has the space of a minivan and the comfort of a luxury SUV. Could not be happier with my purchase.
Great Van
Worth the wait for my family. The skyview roof decided Quest over Sienna. Great for long drives.
Worst Quest by far
3 days on the road, the engine malfunction light went on. The computer had to be reprogrammed and an engine part replaced. Took 4 days to diagnose and repair! Now 2 weeks later, found out the right sliding door itself unbelievably scratching the side of the body making scratch marks both inside and out! Armrest, sliding door, rear window on left side are too loose while those on the right too tight. Gas consumption is almost 40% more than the spec, and definitely more than my mom's SUV. Felt totally betrayed by its looks.
Great style
I searched and test drove every major brand. I ended with the Quest for its style, passenger style driving, big engine and lots of room. No regrets!!!! Love the van. Get the DVD system, best option I ever paid. Kids were great on the long trips.
Shoulda Waited for 2005
We've been to the dealer three times, and will be back again: 1)Leaky skyroof. Took two weeks to receive and two days to fix. 2) Skyview shade not "on track", causing edges tear. Dealer replaced it. 3) Annoyingly low arm rests, and no way to adjust! My '95 Montero adjusts to multiple levels; this should be standard in a $33,000 car. Dealer says "sorry". 4) Plastic back of passenger seat broken at the factory. Dealer replaced it. 5) Temp control knob sticks causing temp to ramp up to 90F. 6) Sunroof won't always close - it'll close then come back to half open and stop! This will be looked at this week. 7) Starting to get a "catalytic converter" smell.
I will not buy it again
1) Both side sliding doors are making such a bad noise that it seems that the door is going to fall down any minute now... 2) The second problem is performance. Even though the car is OK performance wise, but lets say you drive 30mph and press the gas pedal little bit, the noise that comes from the motor is seems you are going uphill... 3) Driver seat and the passanger seat desings are so poor that you will never be able to rest your head on the headrest. 4) The driver's seat does not go back too much, so it seems you are stuck there... 5) On the back seat, it is too rough.
Very Happy
Very satisfied with the room and comfort. Love the style and the Navigation system is awsome!
Excellent ! Nissan is Number 1
Saw the concept 2 years ago, just had to wait for the production model. Awesome, simply awesome, no other minivan comes close. The room is unbeliveable, the center pod and instrumentation make so much sense placed the way they are.My 3 kids just love this vehicle.Checked out Honda,Toyota and Mazda. The Quest is miles ahead of the competition. If your in the market for a minivan do yourself a favour and test drive the new Quest you won't be disapointed. Excellent, simply excellent, way to go Nissan.
A vehicle unlike any other
Ive owned this 2004 Quest for several months now and have nothing but praise for this vehicle. The center console takes a few days to get used to but actually feels like it belongs centrally located. After reading several website reviews on this vehicle, I think some members testdriving these cehicles need to own the van before speaking. This is SERIOUS departure from the norm in design, but it all works well in the end. Some reviewers seem to have a problem with the new design of this van. I am not one of these people.
what i feel
with just over 15000 klicks, if i am on the highway and apply the brakes my steering wheel shakes. take it to my dealer, problem was solve. right now i am just over 19000 klicks, problem is back.
my 2004 nissan quest
i love my new quest. It rides very smoothly. I love the interior design of the vehicle for it's unique style. The Quest has been equipped with many interior tools for convenience like the hooks for hanging things and compartments for storage. Beign able to fold down the seats is definitely much easier on me. We used to have to carry out the seats in our old minivan, but not anymore. With kids, being able to power open the doors is a bonus. I have had this vehicle now for 6 months and I am still enjoying every diving moment of it.
first impression of new van
I have to say that I am in love with this van, styling beautiful, with great handling, comfort and amenities. Little or no lean in turns, very roomy. The instrument panel takes a little getting used to, but functions well, and once learned, is simple and easy.
gamers
i liked it because it was comfotable and it had a lot of space
2004 Quest Hits the Mark
Extremely nice ride and the technology included makes it a winner for the male ego. The navigation system is superb, with the ability to edit locations real handy for fine-tuning the general to the specific. I am truly glad I purchased this automobile.
Poorly Enginneered AC Lines
My Quest with only 3000 miles on it has already lost the air conditioning. The freon lines that run to the rear evaporator are routed so close to the stabilizer bar, that a hole was rubbed through the AC line, resulting in a loss of all the freon. According to Nissan, the line can only be obtained from Japan and will require pulling the engine to replace it. It has now been 30 days with no ETA for replacement parts. I can not recommend this vehicle to anyone until a recall is made for rerouting the rear AC lines is performed. The dealer shop mechanics could not believe the poor design and the neccessity to pull the engine for repairs.
AMAZING Minivan
This minivan amazes me each and every time I see and drive it. It almost drives like a sports sedan, it's quiet, comfortable, has a great ride, great road feel and handling for a minivan - heck for ANY car! - It's GREAT looking and so NOT conventional! I get looks EVERYWHERE I go - people seem very impressed by a cool looking minivan. This minivan TRUMPS every other one out there, hands down in my opinion.
Not Your Average Minivan
We looked at the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna but picked the Nissan Quest because it seemed like a better value overall. Car magazines rate it below the former two vans but we actually LIKE the interior and exteriror styling. The Honda's interior seems like it was plucked from an Oldsmobile and the Toyota's is a nice compromise. The engine has a throaty exhaust growl and gets great highway mileage while still having a ton of low end torque. The second row fold down seats are also a plus. We got alot more equipment for the money with the Quest as well. Don't overlook this van because of the reviews.
Never again
Over a period of 22 months the vehicle has been 18 visits (6 of them combined with regular services) resulting in 22 days at the dealer, the vehicle generated 45 warranty-related repairs. The tires lasted 30K miles and required new brake pads at 27K miles. It is apparent that this car, if not legally a lemon, is definitely a buyback case due to the nuisance factor caused by poor quality. Nissan refuses to admit this. With 26 months left at the average rate of warranty incidents, the car is projected to return another 14 times (excluding scheduled maintenance). I strongly urge any prospective minivan driver to avoid the Quest on the grounds of poor build and service quality
Rattle Trap
Compared to our2001 Expedition, it is much easier to get the children in and out of the vehicle. Power is good, gas mileage averages 17 MPG - not good. Ride is fine in the city. There is significant wind noise on highway at speeds above 65 mph - very annoying. One of the primary reasons for purchase was the ease of entry through the sliding doors.Car has been back to the dealership 6 times since 12/03 for rattling passenger doors. It is no minor rattle! It will drive you nuts. This is not the only rattle. Hit a small bump, the rest of the car rattles as well. This was our first Nissan, and it will be our last.
Disappointed
When I first bought this vehicle I thought I was getting a good deal. I have had my car for 5 years and now I am told that I need $5000.00 dollars of engine work done on it. I have completed all my maintenance schedules. I paid the higher price for repairs and maintenance by getting all my work done at the dealer. I have had to replace the stereo twice in the last 5 years. The rubber molding around the door has come off numerous times. Maybe the newer models are better but make sure you get the warranty to cover yourself to 100000 miles, I didn't and now I have to pay. The car should have lasted longer than 5 years.
EXCELLENT
I love this van!!! I had 4 vans in the past but this one beats them. Quest have a very sexy and cool style over all the vans in the market right now. The driving is so Nice. I am very happy with my purchase. Carlos.
This is a great car
I really love this car. My kids are very comfortable and love showing it off to their friends. I would definitely buy another Quest after this one because it is such a great car.
The mini van that has changed our lives
An excellent van with comfortable seating for 7. Can fit 5 car seats. Has great and easy handling. Drives like a sports car. I am always offering to drive everyone because it is so much fun to drive! We have nicknamed it the spaceship because of all the innovative features. My kids like to watch movies in it in the garage!
Quest Review
I have been very happy with the performance of the Quest, the looks and confort. what a fantastic vehicle. Manuverablilty and stability great. Great adjustibility for the drivers seat for leg comfort, whether you are a big person or small, unlike my sienna.
Pleasantly Surprised
Having been burned with used cars in the future, we have been pleasantly surprised with how reliable this quest has become. Highly recommend it!
Love this Quest!
We have just purchased our fifth Quest. This one is amazing. The last one we owned (2000) was a little dissapointing compared to the previous models, But Nissan got this one perfect.Drives like a dream and the styling is a knockout. My wife drives it most of the time, and I drive a 2002 Honda SI. I am always surprised to get as many "looks" in the Quest as I do in the SI. If you're thinking van...check this one out. If you're thinking suv.... check this van out!
Aweosme
This is the best car ever
Mini Van,NO WAY! Quest changed my mind
My wife and I wrestled with & agonized over the idea of buying a mini van for our growing family. Then we saw the new Quest. There is no mistaking this for anything other than a mini van, however, this is a nice looking and unique mini van. The performance is spirited and fun. The ride is quiet and comfortable. The centered speedometer and display took a little bit of getting used to, but now I really like it. The room and versitility of the interior is great. If you want the versitility of a mini van, but don't the stigma typically attatched to owning one, the new Quest lessens the blow and is fun to drive.
Not Just another minivan
We love the unique look and rooominess. The comfort features please passengers of all sizes, in all seats. Friends call it our mini jet based on the ride and unusual look.
'04 QUEST
The Quest 3.5s is a great minivan. I test drove the Odyssey, the new Sienna, the Grand Caravan/Town & Country, the MPV, and Sedona. The 2 that stood out were the Quest and Sienna. They both had everything but the Quest's exterior/interior and flat fold 2nd/3rd row seats(Sienna only had flat fold 3rd row)won me over. Its hip, sleek, sporty and still roomy. The interior looks futuristic and is so roomy and comfortable. The Sienna was 1k less than the Quest but the Quest was worth the extra 1k. Driving the Quest feels like driving an Accord or Altima.
Quest
My wife insisted on the Quest, her twin sister has one
It's awsome
This is the most vehicle for the money ! We love it this is my 7th nissan
Excellent
The updated styling and features kick the butt of my old Grand Voyager!! We love it! When we looked before Nissan couldn't compete with the Plymouth engine.... So far so good with the performance!!
Great Family Fun
This is a wonderful vehicle!! Great for my family, tons of room. Kids love the dual screen DVD.I love the headphone so I can listen to radio while they watch. Wish it came in all-wheel drive!!!!! That is the only negative I have found. Would be good to have here in the Northeast.
Great Quest
Had a 1995Quest but leg room was an issue as our 3 children are older. Looked seriously at Sienna because of split third row bench, wind and engine noise in 1995Quest. Style won over, roomy interior, comfortable seating for 7, powerful engine, much quieter ride. Center pod takes time getting used to but much safer for driver. There's a place for just about everything within the driver's safe reach. Kids actually choose to ride on the row bench seat! Had sliding door gasket reglued at 100 miles but no problems since. 3,500 miles and still loving it.
Our First Mini-Van
My wife has pestered me for years to buy a mini-van. I have resisted because I disliked to boxy look they all seemed to have. When I first set eyes on the 2004 Quest, I knew that the time had come to join the legions of mini-van owners. We are retired and travel frequently to new destinations. This is a sweet ride! The new Quest is head and shoulders above the competition in styling, safety, and amenities.
Best Minivan
The options, Engine Power, styling, price and Factory Interest rate on the Nissan Van were the best of any Minivan we looked at.
Fun & Sporty
So far the Quest is a very nice comfortable ride for our family.
Quest for the best
This vehicle is very fun to drive and an eye catching machine. Finally the minivan doesn't feel like a minivan. It truly feel luxury, futuristic, fun to drive and tons of gadgets.
My Quest Nightmare!
Very dissappointed! I think it's been in the shop as much as it's been driven! Entire harness had to be replaced, took 3 months for them to even get one! and that was after I filed a complaint with the BBB. Wouldn't go in park 2 days after I bought it, gear shift came off in service managers hand! Shoved and bruised by sliding door! I'm thinking, I should not be hating a van I paid so much money for! Always trusted Nissan until now, they need to replace this van, so I can get the true feeling of it and my money's worth!
The Un-minivan Minivan
I've driven minivans before, but none like the Nissan Quest. It's unbelievably large inside, with outrageous innovations and safety features. The performance is nearly sportscar like (salesman told me it was a version of the 350Z engine...believe it!!). Most importantly, my wife doesn't mind driving it at all...actually thinks it looks cool!!! The glass roof panels are awesome, and the interior is laid out like a luxury jetliner!! Thanks Nissan!! You've got some great products lately!
