Love it !
After driving the Sienna, and the Oddysey, the Quest just blew me away. It is designed for a Family to have fun in it. The center console with the gages is actually better as you have a better view of the road.
So Far.... So Great!
We just purchased an SE last week and I'm thrilled with the styling and amenities. I traded in our 1993 Quest with 195,000 miles and hope this one will last as well. Can't yet tell about reliability etc. but the aesthetics of the car are spectacular! The wife and kids love the skylights, DVD and 10 speaker stereo. Can't wait to take it on a trip. We chose this over Sienna because our '93 Quest was so great and the Siennas were so hard to find and lacked pizazz.

2004 Quest
After test driving a Sienna and Odyssey, and looking at a poor Windstar, this is the minivan to buy, if this can be called a minivan. I have no idea yet on reliability, but the ergonomics are excellent, it is huge for six people and a lot of gear, it drives and rides excellently, and continues the trend of redefining the minivan. Really it is a long car with sliding doors. What a nice car. But there is nothing mini about it. Nay
Nice Van for a Mini Van
I love this van. It does everything I need it to do and then some.
better minivan not best one

Won me Over!
As someone who was on the waiting list for a Toyota Sienna, I was a hard sell on the new Quest. But after taking a look at the new "not your typical" minivan styling and comparing features/price/performance purchased the new Quest right away. Definately worth a look if you're in the market for a minivan (and even a great alternative to an SUV for space and better comfort).
Nissan Quest SE
First off, MSRP is high but if you shop around and find a good deal I highly recommend this vehicle. I paid $1000 over invoice in OCT 03. I am extremely happy with this vehcile because of all the thought and features built into this vehicle. I highly recommend the SE edition over the S and SL edition becuase of the increased 17 inch tires, BOSE sterio, and sky-view interior. I am not pleased with the anti-pinch technology built into the sliding doors or the second DVD screen. However in order to get the GPS, you have to get the dual DVD. Over all pleased.
QUEST IS THE BEST
After searching for over one year for a van ... always walking away because it was missing something I FOUND THE QUEST. It is like driving a cloud with all controls at your fingertips. With plenty of room and seats that fold down effortlessly. Doors side and back open and close with the remote making loading and unloading a snap. The acceleration and handling is the best of any of the vans I have tested. The STYLE is just the BEST. People stop me nearly every day to question me about my QUEST. I can't wait to tell them how much we LOVE it.
Nothing Compares to it
if you are a van owner you need to check this new nissan van out, it is the greatest auto out there, van wise
My New Quest
While researching info for a new mini van, I eliminated the Quest. I had the Quest twin, Mercury Villager, in 97 and assumed the new Nissan would be the same. They are too small for my needs. SUPRISE! My Consumer Reports arrived with mini van tests. Nissan redesigned the Quest. I looked, I bought. The car is great. Loaded with standard features. First trip- 26MPG.Try one if you are looking for a great mini van.
Did I get lucky?
After reading so many bad reviews, I must have gotten lucky with my van. I traded in a 2003 Lexus RX300 as I needed the additional room. Travel a lot. Love the van in every way. Great gas mileage average 23.5 around town and took a 6,000 mile trip to Northeast areas and Nova Scotia and got 26.7 for trip. No problems at all so far. Have all the bells and whistles and love them too. Maybe the Lexus had a better GPS but this van is better on the road then the Lexus I had. Roomy, peppy for a van, handles great and what's not to like? Sorry others are not so fortunate. Would I buy another Nissan, Probably. But Honda is good too. I had a 2001 with little problems but not nearly as nice
No other minivan comes even close!
This is an awesome vehicle; beats the Sienna by far, which by the way is the only minivan that could compare on this league. Honda, Dodge, Ford, etc are on a sub-level below. Take this from an all-time Toyota owner, in fact all my cars in the past have been Toyota (Tercel, Corolla, Celica, & 4Runner)!!! But this new redesigned Nissan Quest has everything and more than any other model of other names, plus a revolutionary dash design, more room, wider doors, should I continue? Oh! and don't forget to look at the ski at night through the radical and elegant Skyview, it's like sitting at your a Home back-porch.
Not a soccer mom!
We're expecting our 3 child in december and decided we'd better get a vehicle to accomodate our growing family. I was hesitant about the "mini-van" stigma and was convinced by my husband to check out the new Quest...alas, a mini- van that gives us mom's respect and dignity while driving around town. I could not believe the power and sleek design this van has!I bought it that day. I drive around in my van--head HIGH
Very functional Nissan Quest
The flexibility of the Quest is wonderful. The automatic doors, the fold flat seats are terrific. The skylights create a fun traveling experience. Best of all we like the ZIP. Our other vehicle is a Jaguar 3.0 S type and it's my impression that the Quest would be it off the line every time. The styling is very different and you either like it or dislike it. However, it creates interest wherever we go.
a world of excellent for families
This mini van is the best in it's class. It was made to make all ages in your family happy and very comfortable. It drives like a car, instead of a mini van. The Quest performance is behond words.
Our new Quest
After checking out the new Sienna and its premium price, we decided to check out the new Quest (didn't even consider Odyssey). We liked the test drive and decided to buy it. At first, we were concerned about build quality as it is being built in a brand new plant in Canton,MS. But decided to the risk. We had the interior lights fuse blow out as the other reviewer mentioned. But, the dealer's mechanic quickly traced the culprit as a interior light trim meltdown. We haven't had a problem from them on. As we drive by, we turn lot of heads. We have people curiously looking at the central instrument control. Driving the new Quest is a pleasure.
Quest
So far so good. We have only had the vehicle a week. So far it has been wonderful. No problems, to speak of and the feedback from interested parties is unbelievable. We highly recommend it and the dealer we purchased it from.
They don't get any better than this!
After driving the Oddessy, new Sienna, and the Town & Country, we went with the Quest...our 12th Nissan now. This thing is like a limo. It's larger than any minivan on the market and it's cocoon quiet and smooth. The interior is elegant when compared to the competition. We enjoy this Quest better than anything we've driven....and it's a MINIVAN! Nissan now has the new benchmark minivan!
Finally a minivan for ME!
The fact that it's a family car to go on vacations, a vehicle to drive to work and back, and to haul various kinds of gear is just too good to pass up. The dealership was willing to negotiate while Toyota wasn't and was too arrogant. It took several hours, but I was treated fairly. Thus far, the vehicle is running great. The minivan does set a bit low to the ground (hence the great, controlled steering) but it does have a tendency to scrape the ground on some driveways that have abrubt inclinations or declinations. For the EVERYTHING type if vehicle, I don't think there's a vehicle that beats it. (And you have three trims to choose from.)
Thank Heavens I didn't get an Odyssey
We bought our Quest in August. It is October and we are already close to 5,000 miles. I insisted on buying an Odyssey until my husband told me to at least look at the Quest....well, I saw and then test drove both engines (SL and SE). No comparison!! Bought the SE. Only problem is if you want to add the DVD system after purchase it can't be done. Nissan is not even selling the system for alternate installation, so get it now!!
WOW!!!
'Was shopping for SUV from Honda and Toyota when we came across with the new Quest at a local dealership. Looks alone inside and out is already outstanding, but you don't buy cars for looks alone. After test driving it, there was no question about buying it. Comfort, technology, design, entertainment features, and power are all excellent deciding factor.
Quest SE
Picked up my Quest couple of weeks ago and I am happy to say that it was worth waiting for. We saw the pictures of the Quest concept last year and decided to wait. We did not like what was being offered by Toyota and Honda. Both Sienna and Odyssey are reliable and proven vehicles but there is no style. Nissan Quest on the other hand has an engine that has won Motor Trends 10 best engines 9 years in a row PLUS it has the looks. The acceleration of the vehicle is quick and powerful. Whoever has their doubts about this van, do yourself a favor and go test drive one...it will change you mind about minivans.
Happy Owner
I originally intended to purchase the Toyota Sienna, but after checking out the Quest, I changed my mind. The style and price convinced me. There was a noise from the rear seat area when the car had six passengers, but my dealership fixed it with a new latching system. Mileage has been as advertised and the center console is great. Have had no quality complaints with the Nissans I have owned.
Quest gives style to a minivan
Our first minivan, and after months of debate and test driving Odyssey, Sienna, Pacifica, Pilot, XC90, T&C, Grand Caravan, Rendezvous, MDX, and V70, we realized that that you can call a crossover what you like but there ends up being a compromise in the real functionality of a minivan. Quest does not compromise style or performance for functionality. We can take turns similar to our 98 Maxima, strap the kids in the seats without over extending like some of the 3rd rows in the SUV, Bose sounds great, 17" wheels look sporty and the features for price seem to be one of the best.
i Love my quest
this car is great. one of the best nissan's ever and the best nissan quest by far. it's superior design, comfort, and performance is like none other. compared to the sienna, it wins in every category except the windows in the sienna in the 2nd row go down some
My Odyssey Has Become A Quest
As a former 2001 Odyssey owner, I had high standards when I shopped for a new minivan in September. Of course, another Odyssey was considered -- until I stepped into a 2004 Nissan Quest and discovered what I've been missing! I thoroughly admire the central control panel and display -- this IS the 21st century, isn't it? Shouldn't digital displays, tactile/touch-controls, self- monitoring tire gauges all be standard by now? This vehicle draws the curious whereever I go and its sure to turn heads for years to come. My Odyssey has ended. But my Quest has just begun.
great car
very cool and fast.
Worth Waiting
After checking Toyota and Honda we went to see Nissan, and that was it. Every one in my family loves this van. Took almost a month to get the color and options I wanted, but finally I got it and it was worth waiting.
some problems
We bought car 2 weeks ago. This is an awesome vehicle, the 5 sky views, sunroof and auto doors excellent approach. But we got some problems all ready: Sunroof badly leaked and van now at Dealership for sunroof replacement for the second day. DVD didn't worked, mechanical noise in area of the second row right chair or door. Dealership still working with it. I think for a new car and for 2 weeks a lot of problems. What else we should expect?
INCREDIBLE
I TEST DROVE MOST OF THE AVAILABLE MINIVANS IN THE MARKET AND CONCLUDED THAT THE NEW QUEST IS HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THE REST. IT'S FUN TO DRIVE AND WITH SO MANY CAREFULLY THOUGHT UTILITY FEATURES, MY LITTLE DAUGHTER CALLS IT HER SECOND HOME. THANKS GOD THAT I DIDN'T COMMIT THE BLUNDER OF GETTING AN ODESSEY AND TOOK TIME TO TEST DRIVE MY QUEST.
Oh Yeah!
I was anticipating buying an SUV. Had my heart set on Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition, Cadillac Escalade or the Hummer H2. Went to the nissan lot to test drive a used 2002 Tahoe. The dealer asked if we had seen the "NEW" Quest. I quickly told him, I was not interested in a minivan. He drove it around anyway and it was "Love at first sight." The vehicle more than accomodates my family of five. The kids abosultely love this car. It handles far better than I ever imagined. If you haven't driven it, you have really missed out.
THE BEST
I LOVE MY NEW 2004 NISSAN QUEST
No Problems
After over one year of driving the Nissan Quest we are completely satisfied with this vehicle. It meets all of our needs perfectly. We have four children from 2 to 14 years of age and it hauls us around with lots of room. It is easy to care for and clean. The kids love and we love it even more. It has so many practical features, is well thought out and designed. From the back up sonar to the power rear hatch to the folding seats that interchange easily it is the best . Best of all we have had no problems with this vehicle. Thanks Nissan for a great Miniivan.
Buy the Nissan Quest!!!
I just got into the Quest SL, and the vehicle is outstanding!!! Doesn't look boring like the other competition, and drives like a car. Has "fold-flat" 2nd and 3rd row seats...no one else does. Buy the Quest.
Great Car!
The new Quest is not like a mini-van, but more like a car. It rides beautifully, has excellent pick-up, and has lots of great features. My favorite is the sunroof! It is NOT for the person who wants the standard old mini- van. The speedometer and gauges are in the middle of the dash board. I think this is cool, because I can see better from the driver's seat. ALL of the 2nd and 3rd row seats fold down. The 2nd row seats also tilt back and forth individually. And don't forget the heated mirrors in winter.
The Jetsons Minivan Has Arrived
Shopped at Toyota for a 2004 Sienna - too many extras made it expensive, plus no airbags for passengers. Shopped at Honda for an 2003 LX, it was nice - but not nice enough, safety features extra. Waited for Nissan's new 2004 offering and, after a few weeks, received call from the dealer - they had a RED base model Quest without any gimmicks. I saw it, my wife drove it, we bought it on the spot. It was worth the wait. The base model really has everything you need. We paid MSRP and not a penny more. This is a must see before you buy.
My first Disappointment in Nissan
I've worked and owned several Nissans. This is by far the worst one I've had. At 67000 I had to have the Alternator replaced ($672.00) Now at 87000 the timing chain is rattling / pecking. Cost of repair $1104.63 I've put over 200,000 miles on my altima.
Glad We Waited
We almost bought the Odyssey, but waited to see the new Quest. It's new design, features, and SPACE sold us. It has noticeably more room than then any other minivan. The seats are wide and comfortable and the folding seats were a plus hauling all of our camping equipment. Handling, acceleration, and ride have exceeded my expectations. Our friends and family are thoroughly impressed, and strangers have approached us with many compliments regarding styling.
A minivan with style
This is the style leader for minivans. Great power, ride and gas mileage. Have had several squeaks and rattles, dealer finally got most of them fixed and it's quieter now. Defects in windshield and new one also bad but the attempted switch cured some of the wind noise. Third hasn't come in yet. Also wind noise in sunroof, use cover for quiet.
Good Choice
This is the first miinivan we have owned. As young parents we vowed to never drive a minivan! It was easy until we went to buy a new Altima and drove the Quest for the heck of it...When we got back to the dealership, we looked at eachother and hated to admit it but we were both sold on the Quest. To this day, we have been impressed with its performance. It is zippy, stylish and gets lots of attention. We have tons of room and our two girls love it! We will never own another SUV or car again.
Loaded without options
We bought the base model without many "extras" and still it seems pretty well loaded. We got the fold-down seat package-- spectacular. We fit a 7' Christmas tree inside, with our two kids in the second row, and were still able to close the rear door. I'm 6'4" and am finally driving a vehicle with decent head and leg room! And the 2nd row seats slide back so that my seat back doesn't crush the second row passenger. I love the look of the centrally located instruments, and the sight lines are perfect. My neighbors all had to check it out when we brought it home. They loved the body style, and were wowed again by the interior.
Best Quest ever!
Only have had it for 1 week and we just love it! We actually feel less stress driving in it which I can possibly attribute to the extra roominess compared to a much smaller car such like an older model Niss. Altima. Smooth acceleration and good braking characteristics. We love the body styling given it. This is our first minivan and we have no regrets about it what-so-ever.
You must owne one
There are no words to discrive this van is just the perfect vehicle. My wife gets home from a long day at the office and she sits in the van for a good 30 to 45 minutes, I have to go outside a couple of times to get her to come inside the house.I'm glad the car was for my use,I have only driven the car once since we purchased it,but I dont care she and I are very happy and I recomend this car to any person out there that is looking both for confort and luxury.Thank you Nissan
Happy Mom
I absolutely love the look of this vehicle. It certainly doesn't look like all the other minivans. As parents of two teenage boys and a baby girl, we were looking to purchase a vehicle with lots of room. We looked at the competition, Honda and Toyota, but we weren't impressed. The Quest is perfect, with pleanty of room for baby equipment and generous leg room in all three rows for our almost 6' tall son. I love it!
Overall a Keeper
I love driving my Quest. I am very tall and having the displays in the center of the console prevents the steering wheel from obstructing my view. Automatic side rear and back doors are wonderful with two small kids. So are the fold down seats and ability to pull second row seats forward to access third row, even if second row seats have child seats installed.
Love it
I love my van. Rides great, large seats for added comfort. No cramped feeling. Cool ride.
The Best MinIvan (If you can afford it.)
I looked at several Minivans both foreign and domestic, but when I saw the Quest, I was in love. I was going to settle for a Chevy Venture LT loaded because of the price and rebates,(My father worked for GM) but I just couldn't do it. I narrowed my choices down to the Odyssey and the Quest because of their quality. I was able to get the Quest for $29,800 out the door.
Nissan Quest a winner
After owning three Quests this redesign is truly a work of art. Just about anything that we felt could be improved the engineers and designers at Nissan have incorporated in this new unit. We had seriously entertained the idea of changing vehicles this time around but were blown away when we test drove the new 2004. Thank you Nissan
nissan quest
people are stopping me to ask what it is i love the fold down seats, wish they had a pattern to hide eventual dirt
Great Minivan
Awesome car that's got zip and comfort I can't believe it's a minivan....really, it's great fun
