Little bit disppointed
I get the new Quest because of it's radical styling. I like Oddessey, but it is outdated. The new Sienna has very conservative stying. For the power, I feel it has less power than it supposes to have. Maybe the van weighs heavy. It is pretty slow to pick up speed for the first 2 gears. Also, it is kind of noisy for Japanese engines. The new Quest is one of the best van out there, but it is absolutely not the leader.
Nissan's finally done it!
First time we saw the 04 Quest, we said this is for us! It reinforces the image of the owner. We got a lot of praises from curious onlookers; Thumbs-up signs from drivers who pass us by (even SUV drivers). We feel secure and proud inside. It's smooth yet so powerful. Very quiet. First minivan we drove w/ a sports car engine(350Z). Tried the Sienna and the Oddysy but it doesnt compare. finally nissan made a minivan that a dad can be proud of,even boast of!

The Jetsons Minivan Has Arrived
Shopped at Toyota for a 2004 Sienna - too many extras made it expensive, plus no airbags for passengers. Shopped at Honda for an 2003 LX, it was nice - but not nice enough, safety features extra. Waited for Nissan's new 2004 offering and, after a few weeks, received call from the dealer - they had a RED base model Quest without any gimmicks. I saw it, my wife drove it, we bought it on the spot. It was worth the wait. The base model really has everything you need. We paid MSRP and not a penny more. This is a must see before you buy.
Overall Satisfied
This is the best looking import mini van.
MINVAN LIKE NO OTHER! Thumbs up 2 Quest
This Van is simply awesome! Admired the 5 skyview sunroofs & auto doors with pinch technology. 'Looks very much like an SUV on some angles yet drives nimbly & smoothly like a car, with great mileage too! Pick-up power is just like a sports car but is super quiet. Design is not boring & elicits stares on the road or park lot even from drivers of stylish, newer SUVs. A few SUV drivers couldnt resist approaching me about it. Standard quip: "Man, that's a great lookin car you have, good choice! Passersby gives me a thumbs up sign... Kudos to Nissan quality and innovation!
Graet Car
I realy enjoy driving this mini van
Quest raises bar for mini-vans
Considering the old Quest model, the 2004 model is even more amazing. The design, style, convenience and driving experience sets a new mark for mini-van quality. For those searching for a safer more comfortable means of transportation than the SUV without the drab of your father's mini-van, the Quest is the ticket! Can Honda keep the pace?
THE BEST MINIVAN ON EARTH!!
Like most people i did extensive research before dediding to purchase this piece of perfection. I drove the siena and the odessy and they both perfomed very well, but they lack the styling and charisma that this quest has. The leather is much like the comforts of home and the fact i can slide 4 by 8 sheets of goods for my home improvement projects. I really couldn't ask for much more in a minivan
Quest SE
Picked up my Quest couple of weeks ago and I am happy to say that it was worth waiting for. We saw the pictures of the Quest concept last year and decided to wait. We did not like what was being offered by Toyota and Honda. Both Sienna and Odyssey are reliable and proven vehicles but there is no style. Nissan Quest on the other hand has an engine that has won Motor Trends 10 best engines 9 years in a row PLUS it has the looks. The acceleration of the vehicle is quick and powerful. Whoever has their doubts about this van, do yourself a favor and go test drive one...it will change you mind about minivans.
I love it!
I fell in love with this vehicle when I test drove it and couldn't wait to buy one. It is easy to get in and out of, drives like a dream, and I love the styling, inside and out.
Cool for a Minivan!
Fear of first year run, but no problems so far. We were looking at getting anything BUT a minivan to replace our aging Town & Country, but the Quest had lots of room, good fuel economy and was cooler than a lot of the small & midsize SUVs we looked at! Biggest complaint is that many options are only available on SE, and SE needs more interior options (see below).
A minvan for today's family
We have looked for a minivan with certain features and this one has it all. The exterior styling is fantastic, making you feel like you are driving a sport car instead of the typical minivan mom vehicle. The interior design is wonderful done and very spacious with plenty of leg room.
quest 2004 SE review
I found the 2004 SE model to be an excellent van for my family. It is fun to drive, smooth as silk. One problem we have had is a rattle in the side door which we have to take it in for repair. Otherwise, many options on this model and love the entertainment package.
THE BEST
I LOVE MY NEW 2004 NISSAN QUEST
Buy the Nissan Quest!!!
I just got into the Quest SL, and the vehicle is outstanding!!! Doesn't look boring like the other competition, and drives like a car. Has "fold-flat" 2nd and 3rd row seats...no one else does. Buy the Quest.
My first Disappointment in Nissan
I've worked and owned several Nissans. This is by far the worst one I've had. At 67000 I had to have the Alternator replaced ($672.00) Now at 87000 the timing chain is rattling / pecking. Cost of repair $1104.63 I've put over 200,000 miles on my altima.
Glad We Waited
We almost bought the Odyssey, but waited to see the new Quest. It's new design, features, and SPACE sold us. It has noticeably more room than then any other minivan. The seats are wide and comfortable and the folding seats were a plus hauling all of our camping equipment. Handling, acceleration, and ride have exceeded my expectations. Our friends and family are thoroughly impressed, and strangers have approached us with many compliments regarding styling.
Good Choice
This is the first miinivan we have owned. As young parents we vowed to never drive a minivan! It was easy until we went to buy a new Altima and drove the Quest for the heck of it...When we got back to the dealership, we looked at eachother and hated to admit it but we were both sold on the Quest. To this day, we have been impressed with its performance. It is zippy, stylish and gets lots of attention. We have tons of room and our two girls love it! We will never own another SUV or car again.
Best Quest ever!
Only have had it for 1 week and we just love it! We actually feel less stress driving in it which I can possibly attribute to the extra roominess compared to a much smaller car such like an older model Niss. Altima. Smooth acceleration and good braking characteristics. We love the body styling given it. This is our first minivan and we have no regrets about it what-so-ever.
Nothing More I could ask for!
First time I drove this van, I thought the engine wasnt running! I observed most people look at me like I was driving an out-of-this world vehicle! I've seen the new Sienna & the '03 Odyssey but they're still the same old looking minivan I grew tired with. This one drives like a compact car with its handling. And it looks like a quasi-SUV when you view it drom behind. When we got our old 2000Quest befor, I always thought that Nissan could do much more with that car, & true to that Nissan had done their homework I am grateful that they designed a car-like van for the discriminating...I actually expected it. And with my new Quest--I couldnt ask for more!
Quest SL 3.5
I had already decided on another van, but drove the Quest as a last minute thought. I was glad I did! I was worried about it being a 1st production year for the vehicle, but took a lot of comfort in knowing the drivetrain has been around for years. That engine is awesome! Good styling in and out, although a bit too much cheap looking plastic on the interior trim. Vehicle handles well with minimal body roll.
What a Great MiniVan!
Anyone looking for a mini-van or a "crossover" SUV should consider the new Quest. The styling makes it "cool" to drive a Mini-Van. I liked the fuel economy of the crossovers but could not justify price for flexability/storage. The Quest delivers 25-26 MPG, forward looking styling, the same engine found in the Nissan Murano, and loads of flexability and storage space and "legitimate" 7 passenger seating. You won't believe the cargo area with the bench seats and captain's chairs folded to the floor. Nissan did thier homework and came up with a vehicle that should lead the market! Safe, comfortable, fuel efficient but still plenty of horses, and stylish.
A happy puppy!
Nissan has hit a grand slam home run. I traded in a 2001 Quest for this new 2004 and boy am I happy that I did. Biggest single advantage is NOT having to haul out those HEAVY center row captain chairs. Now I can easily fold down the chairs for convenience. Also larger doors makes entry to rear row easier, and overall length increase means more legroom for 2nd row passengers. Wonderful drivers seat, comfort and FINALLY legroom for us tall drivers. Love the gas and break peddel that moves, so I can finally get legroom. Also additional power of 240 h.p. engine was long overdue!
Excellent ! Nissan is Number 1
Saw the concept 2 years ago, just had to wait for the production model. Awesome, simply awesome, no other minivan comes close. The room is unbeliveable, the center pod and instrumentation make so much sense placed the way they are.My 3 kids just love this vehicle.Checked out Honda,Toyota and Mazda. The Quest is miles ahead of the competition. If your in the market for a minivan do yourself a favour and test drive the new Quest you won't be disapointed. Excellent, simply excellent, way to go Nissan.
first impression of new van
I have to say that I am in love with this van, styling beautiful, with great handling, comfort and amenities. Little or no lean in turns, very roomy. The instrument panel takes a little getting used to, but functions well, and once learned, is simple and easy.
AMAZING Minivan
This minivan amazes me each and every time I see and drive it. It almost drives like a sports sedan, it's quiet, comfortable, has a great ride, great road feel and handling for a minivan - heck for ANY car! - It's GREAT looking and so NOT conventional! I get looks EVERYWHERE I go - people seem very impressed by a cool looking minivan. This minivan TRUMPS every other one out there, hands down in my opinion.
Disappointed
When I first bought this vehicle I thought I was getting a good deal. I have had my car for 5 years and now I am told that I need $5000.00 dollars of engine work done on it. I have completed all my maintenance schedules. I paid the higher price for repairs and maintenance by getting all my work done at the dealer. I have had to replace the stereo twice in the last 5 years. The rubber molding around the door has come off numerous times. Maybe the newer models are better but make sure you get the warranty to cover yourself to 100000 miles, I didn't and now I have to pay. The car should have lasted longer than 5 years.
Mini Van,NO WAY! Quest changed my mind
My wife and I wrestled with & agonized over the idea of buying a mini van for our growing family. Then we saw the new Quest. There is no mistaking this for anything other than a mini van, however, this is a nice looking and unique mini van. The performance is spirited and fun. The ride is quiet and comfortable. The centered speedometer and display took a little bit of getting used to, but now I really like it. The room and versitility of the interior is great. If you want the versitility of a mini van, but don't the stigma typically attatched to owning one, the new Quest lessens the blow and is fun to drive.
Quest Review
I have been very happy with the performance of the Quest, the looks and confort. what a fantastic vehicle. Manuverablilty and stability great. Great adjustibility for the drivers seat for leg comfort, whether you are a big person or small, unlike my sienna.
Excellent!
I LOVE MY NEW NISSAN QUEST! IT'S ROOMY, STYLISH, HUGS THE CURVES, THE COLOR IS AWESOME AND EVERYTHING IS RIGHT IN REACH. MY SON LOVES IT. MY BOYFRIEND LOVES IT TOO. AND THE PRICE WAS VERY VERY REASONABLE FOR THIS MINIVAN.
It's awsome
This is the most vehicle for the money ! We love it this is my 7th nissan
Awsome
THis is one of the best minivans ever. It has a very comfortable ride and is quiet. The engine and five speed automatic transmission work smoothly togetther. I love this car.
This is the future minivan
This is the future of minivans as we know it. The styling is new and cool. It gets rid of the stereotypical minivan.
EXCELLLENT
I thikn this is a greta car
Awesome Minivan :)
I love just about everything about this van. At first, I had planned to get a Toyota Sienna - until Fowler Toyota in Norman told me it wasn't in their interest to do business with me (I had negotiated to get $2000 of MSRP). When I found out they ordered the wrong color, I changed to the Nissan - and was wonderfully happy I did! Hudiburg Nissan treated me well :) The kids love the dual DVD screens, and everything about the van is a gadet- girl's dream :)
Problem with Rear Main Seal/leaking oil
I have had my Nissan Quest 2004 for one month. On it's one month anniversary, we noticed oil in the driveway. It was leaking oil...minimal but still for a $27,000 car you expect more than that. Took it back to Quirk and they gave me a rental. If I knew it was going to take a week to fix, I would not have settled for the Kia Rio I was given. Picked up my Nissan tonight and hope that is the end of any problems.
2004 Nissan Quest Rocks!
This van is the best van available. One drive and you will agree. Nissan as usual outperforms, and outclasses all others.
My quest fulfilled...
I have only ever owned a toyota.. I tes dri=ove every available moni0van.. Toyota was great but I was searching for a less conservative look with a bit of style.. the mon-ment I walked into the showroom I knew I ha found "my" car.... It is a beauty and a lot of car.. secure feeling when driving my children around.... Great design!!!
Best Quest
Going on 22,000 miles and i can't complain. Been to Utah and Nevada twice with killer gas mileage. This V6 roars and does not hesitate ask the little civics i can take offline. Comfort is great and the room is awesome i can walk back to the rear seat with no problem. A true family truckster!
Too many problems - it's a lemon!
Currently going through the process of getting van bought back by Nissan through LEMON LAW. Been in for service 9 times (27 total days in shop)! SLIDING DOORS rattle, squeek, shake, grind and do not open, close, align, or latch properly. Sliding doors are extremely UNSAFE. Van has had 6 RECALLS performed, along with the entire driver's side REPAINTED due to rock chips since doors were misaligned. Nissan extended OEM warranty to 5yrs/60k miles, but that doesn't account for the POOR BUILD QUALITY. Vehicle pulled to the left, transmission pan leaked, CV boot ripped, sun visor label fell off, left rear quarterpanel loose - PROBLEMS are too many to list. Buy a HONDA or TOYOTA!!!
"Lemon" I Need Help! Not happy!
From the very beginning of my purchase, I have encountered problems. Electrical disaster. Problems on the dashboard. Had to get tires, brake job. Took to Nissan to replace alternator. Have a whole lot of squeaking in sliding doors and other places. Had some problems with acceleration hesitation. Interior lights & air vents falling out of ceiling. Vibration and ratting problems. Engine smoking and burning oil need a ring job. The warranty will not cover it because of requirement to have all oil changes information on it. We did not get all of our oil changes from them so we need proof of getting them from other establishment so that we can get our motor fix. It has been a nightmare.
Best Minivan with style ...
This minivan drives great and gives a feel of an SUV with lots of room, room and fun to drive ...
quest se
just took a 700 mile trip, loved the navigation system. the van was quiet smooth and comfortable. our gas mileage was in the low 20's driving near 80 mph. we have had no squeaks, rattles or problems. (1800 miles). The controls require a few days to become second nature, and everything is simple and easy to reach.
Not just a new standard, a new approach!
My wife and I bought an '01 Olds Silouhette becasue of the free extra warranty coverage and the extra level of appointments at a mid-range price. After spending some time looking around for a replacement (we were going to wait for aug '04), we looked at the Odyessy (boring), Windstar (soon the be freestar) - sorry it's a Ford product and we don't do Fords anymore, and we even looked at the VW van thingy eh yeah if that's what it is... Enter the Nissan. Now I am not one to get excited over a Minivan (we but it because of necessity of having 3 children) but wow! This thing has a new approach to family moving.
A van I am pleased (and proud) to drive
When we set out to find a replacement for our Subaru Forester (a car that was excellent - just too small), my wife expressed a strong desire to purchase another minivan. We had owned one when my kids were very young and thought I was past this part of my life. I was adamant that we should buy an SUV with three rows instead of another minivan... that is, until I actually drove the Quest. This vehicle is excellent. We test drove, the Odessey, the Sienna and the MVP. All were excellent vehicles, however, none provided the "whole" package better than the Quest -- performance, handling, function and style (both inside and out) truly set the Quest apart.
Love it !
After driving the Sienna, and the Oddysey, the Quest just blew me away. It is designed for a Family to have fun in it. The center console with the gages is actually better as you have a better view of the road.
So Far.... So Great!
We just purchased an SE last week and I'm thrilled with the styling and amenities. I traded in our 1993 Quest with 195,000 miles and hope this one will last as well. Can't yet tell about reliability etc. but the aesthetics of the car are spectacular! The wife and kids love the skylights, DVD and 10 speaker stereo. Can't wait to take it on a trip. We chose this over Sienna because our '93 Quest was so great and the Siennas were so hard to find and lacked pizazz.
2004 Quest
After test driving a Sienna and Odyssey, and looking at a poor Windstar, this is the minivan to buy, if this can be called a minivan. I have no idea yet on reliability, but the ergonomics are excellent, it is huge for six people and a lot of gear, it drives and rides excellently, and continues the trend of redefining the minivan. Really it is a long car with sliding doors. What a nice car. But there is nothing mini about it. Nay
Nice Van for a Mini Van
I love this van. It does everything I need it to do and then some.
better minivan not best one
