Great SUV for the Money
We bought our new Pathfinder after a year and a half of torture in a Durango...ahhhh! What a great ride, very smooth. Engine is o.k., but I like the HEMI better(only thing I like on the Durango), but the Pathfinder has enough. Interior is well laid out, just wish they used better quality "wood" which is actually plastic, be careful, it scratches easily. We bought the car and 2 days later went on a 2500 mile road trip, (wife, daughter, the dog and I) and the Pathfinder was GREAT! The seats are very comfortable! I only wish I got the NAV. It also has an iPod interface which I did not know about until it was too late, wish I got it also. I would recommend car over any other in its class.
another great SUV
Just two weeks off the lot, I took 5 passengers (2 kids) up the grapevine to the CA central valley. My MPG? 20.2! Noticeable drops in crowded fwys, but still between 16.6 and 17.4! My old '98 Pathfinder ranged between 13 and 15 putting out just 168 horses. '06 is not as agile as the previous unibody design, but more than fair trade for more power, more efficiency, more flexibility, more luxury, more safety, and more seating. Right before I bought, I test-drove the Pilot and was underwhelmed -- it wasn't even a better drive than my '98. Its leather interior looked like old Buick vinyl and its sunroof would better suit the Civic. My first right turn in the Pathfinder was all I needed.

Satisfied
I've had my pathfinder for about a month now. So far my family and I have been very satisfied with it; relatively smooth ride, awesome horse power, comfortable room, and good gas milage for a SUV. We have been happy with our purchase, and we really enjoy it.
Dangerous Car
I bought a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with 50,000 miles on it. In about 2 years the car started shaking and vibrating on the highway. I started researching and found out this is a serious problem with Nissan Pathfinders 2005-2011. The Radiator fluid mixes with the transmission fluid and causes damage and puts i you in danger in the middle of the road. The estimate today from Nissan dealer, $10, 088 and I owe $10, 000 on the car! Do your homework. The frustrating entries about this car are all over the internet, including class action lawsuits!
Falls Apart! Slowly
Bought an 06 pathfinder in 07 with 30000 miles windows slowly went out one by one radio staticky, cup holder slowly broke down, heater went out works sometimes. And at 140,000 cat converters failed, fuel tank failed, As soon as you pay it off get ready for everything to fall apart and break down. Watch your coolant mixing and messing up the transmission. Nissan does not stand by their vehicles. Toyota is the way to go. Will not buy another Nissan.
