Used 2006 Nissan Murano Consumer Reviews
A 2006 mediocur Nissan
Cars weak point is its cvt transmission, not very reliable. don't expect much of it going very many thousand miles. the cars seat frame is weak, so the drivers seat breaks. Decent engine, fair gas mileage.

My Murano
I love driving this car. Responsive handling. I find the reverse view for backing very useful.

SL Murano
Fun to drive, Slick Design, Always Complimented, Poorly Built, Plasticky Exterior, Poor Fuel Economy 14 MPG for me.
Murano Highs and Lows
Great styling and general performance. Gas mileage is much less than similar cars of this size that I have owned. The car is solid, but any packages that I place in the car rattle like crazy. This is the only car where I have experienced this phenomenon. It detracts immensely from the overall driving experience. Is there that much difference in the ride of an SL versus my SE?
2006 Bad Front Brakes
When you test drive your car, check braking in reverse. We never tested this feature and after getting the car home we heard a squeal backing up that got progressively worse. Took it to the local Nissan dealership, Brown's/Fairfax,VA they machined the front rotors. The car had 1800 miles on it and was less then a month old. This helped the situation greatly but did not eradicate it so I took the car back and they said nothing was wrong, the noise was within industry stadards per Nissan. We then took the car back to the dealership where we purchased the car,Sheehy of Manassas and upon inspection they replaced the brake pads. This was done out of pocket as Nissan would not warranty.
