I previously owned a Nissan Pathfinder, and I thought that was a nice car... but the Murano blows it away. This is probably the most comfortable riding car I've been in. I love the styling, very unique, I get a lot of stares. Nissan thought of everything. It has extras I was amazed by. It is a very quiet car, absolutly no road noise. The Bose system is great, I didn't know music could sound that good. I have nothing bad to say about this car.

Just purchased 05 Murano SL AWD after ext research/test drives, in Volvo/Lexus/Honda/Subaru 06 Tribeca. Vehicle so far beyond expectations after having for approx 2 weeks. Amenities SUPER, ride comfort exceeds others, handling supurb, no exterior noise, gas mileage avg 20.9, not had on trip yet to see mileage. For AWD SUV we're thrilled with mpg so far, will get better as engine loosens. HIGHLY suggest buying this SUV, if you have couple kids, think it over 1st, perfect for 2 people and family of 3-4 tops. Test drove the above 4 seperate times before our final decision. For the $$$ this SUV a HIDDEN TREASURE, we owned Honda/Toyota SUV's. Great product Nissan! Dave & Deb from NE Pa

Upsized from Maxima after 110K+ miles. Gave the Maxima to my son. Am a believer in Nissan's reliability & durability. I was wowed by the looks of this SUV. My Murano SE has firm, almost still sporty European ride. Love the interior roominess. Love the CVT - smooth acceleration without the shifting.

To top it all off ive been to 7 diff nissan dealerships for work and maintenance on it and at everyone the pple are rude and disrespectful my car also has electrical problems that were diagnosed in nj i waited 3mon

The Murano has to be the best value on the road. I leased my Murano in February of 2005 for a great price! It drives like a car (handling, acceleration) and has the storage and off-road capabilities of an SUV. I previously owned a Nissan Xterra SE and my wife had purchased a 2004 Nissan Maxima SL in the fall of 2003. I loved the way the Maxima drove, but I needed the cargo space and the Murano was the perfect fit. I also looked at the Acura MDX, BMW X3 and the Volvo XC90, but the Murano was a far better value.

I initially enjoyed the car until it began to have problems at about 58,000 miles replaced airflow meter $900, then the kicker, at 94,000 miles had to replace the CVT transfer case at $4500. had a 100,000 mile warranty from purchase...it refused to cover the transfer case. The car is very costly!!! I now owe more on the car than what it is worth.

Although a crossover, this SUV is like driving a sportscar. It will hopefully get more consistent gas mileage after the engine breaks in. Absolutley love it unless the alternator break as in a recall. Google it and find out if you VIN applies. Fortunately mine does not. Absolutley endorse this vehicle.

I just picked up my new 2005 Murano 3 days ago. After owning 2 Lexus RX 300's, I was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. I had nothing to worry about! This one is a gem. Not only do I find the car pleasing to the eye, it has a luxurious feel inside and out. As compared to my Lexus, it has even more "toys" and so far I am getting slightly better gas mileage (19mpg...all city driving so far). I'd highly encourage anyone shopping for this size SUV to test drive a Murano. Fot the price, I don't think you can beat it.

Stylish, comfortable, well laid out, really good SUV fuel encomy. We evaluated many other SUVs but felt cross-overs were a better choice for our life style. Of the cross-overs, the Murano was a clear standout for us, even compared to more expensive models like the Lexus RX330 and the VW Toureg V6.

We love our Murano, because of it's reliability and strong engine. We would buy another one if they would change the seat design. After long drives, it becomes very uncomfortable. Other than that, it is a great car for a family, couple or single.

I started searching for a small SUV to replace my wife's old 03 Outback. I had narrowed my choices down between the rav4 & crv. After finding that the rav4 equipped the way we wanted wasn't a good deal, I was sure the crv would be the car. We happened to checkout the new rogue, but we weren't impressed with it. My wife however, liked the Murano. After realizing it was MUCH bigger than it looks, we took one for a spin, and liked the overall feel. We went to look at the crv, and did not like it, so we went back and got a murano. MPG is good IMO for a V6 SUV. We've had the car for over 2 weeks now, and consistently avg about 20-21 mpg with mostly "city" (stop lights) driving. Great car!

Fuel economy for me with a fwd has been a consistet 22-23mpg. Not sure what others are saying about cvt sluggish in traffic, as when stomping on the gas you could get whiplash...awesome get up and go. ALso a very smooth ride with great handling ,not to mention a gorgeous vehicle. In my 25 years of driving and after 15,000 miles on my murano, this vehicle is an A ++ !

The car is very attractive in exterior appearance and the interior is roomy and also very attractive. I was suprised that it has a similar feel to a much more expensive vehicle with a feeling of superior performance and quality. I believe that the quality and styling for the price are the best on the market for any vehicle category.

I was looking at the Dodge Charger or the Murano, everytime I saw the Murano on the road I glanced and took a second look. I didn't see many chargers on the road but I like it just as much. I went to test drive the Murano and simply felt like this was the car/truck for me. High seating, responsive handling and comfort sold this deal for me. Coming from a Dodge Intrepid I needed something just as big as the Intrepid or I just didn't feel good driving.

This is my first SUV. I had researched several crossovers, but this was the most comfortable. I have a lower back problem and the seat adjustments in the Murano were the best I had found. I drove this car from NY to DC and back twice since May and I was extremely comfortable both times. Also, there is an enormous amount of space for packing - I was able to fit all my son's items for college including a TV, a large trunk, computer equipment, clothes and several boxes. The radio is fabulous. The dealership in Smithtown is fair and accomdating.

I have had my SL AWD (liquid copper with black interior) for about 3 weeks an still love it. The drive is agile but still very comfortable thanks to the superb seats. The engine is large and very powerful and combined with the CVT outaccellerates just about any other SUV in the $40K price range. Great sound from the Bose system. Averaged 20.8 mpg in first 1000 miles in 50:50 city:highway driving.

The Murano is a car that I've admired since it 1st came out. The design beats many more expensive competitors, like a Lexus RX without the price tag. Smooth quite ride, very roomy interior and nice aluminum accents throughout. I really love the Murano, my only complaint is that the Sunlit Copper color is not available in the S model. Now I am contemplating whether I should trade in my S Merlot for an SL Sunlit Copper. Having the Murano in the "orange" color would really make me a very satisfied and long term MUrano owner. Now I'd have to think whether the color is worth a few k over. Otherwise, the Murano is highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. Just a beautiful SUV overall!

I was not sure that I was going to actually make the purchase of my Murano. Yet while taking it for a test drive and to show it to my wife I was rear ended. Only a few scratches were on the bumper and one quarter sized dent on the tailgate. However the other driver was in a Isuzu Rodeo and had major damage done to the vehicle to the extent that it could not be driven. I still to the Murano and showed it to my wife with damage and all and explained what had happened. (My wife also drives a Isuzu Rodeo) Needless to say on returning to the dealership I picked out another Murano the just had come in that morning an immediately made the purchase thinking safety first.

I have had car 2 days and all I can say is Heaven. The ride is so smooth and the seats are so comfortable. Great feel and fun to drive. No road noise and Bose system is excellent. I enjoy the dash layout and sunroof. Fold down seats by handle in cargo is easy access. Intellikey was great idea. Will comment in future after owning it for a little while. Highly recommend! Got fantastic deal before 2006 comes out with little changes expected. I leased SL AWD with Touring pkg.

We recently purchased our 2005 Nissan Murano SL. We are enjoying the ride. Wish that it got better gas mileage. However, more so than that I wish that it had automatice door locks. We didn't notice this when test driving...actually I assumed it had this feature since older vehicles that we own do have this nice safety feature. When talking to our sales person he informed me that no Nissans have auto door locks. I believe this would be a great addition in future years. In the meantime I am training myself to lock the doors when I get in.

Purchased the sl awd model in july of '04. Wife has driven it now 21000 miles. It has averaged over an entire week 22-24 mpg that is city and highway driving combined. they told us when we purchased it that it wouldn't start getting its best mileage until about 10,000 miles and they were right. Love the ride and comfort, great stereo, and for an SUV I find it to be rather fun to drive and quite peppy. The CVT doesn't seem to sap that much power.

I am extremely happy with the puchase of my new Murano. The car looks great, drives powerfully and smothly and has a very comfortable interior. Rear storage space is important for me and the Murano delivers (although no where near what it repaced: an '88 Saab 900). Without a doubt, the exterior look is what seduced me- I noticed them on the road for months before my purchase. For me, the look is magic. Five cars ago I drove a Nisson 280 ZX- a fantastic automobile- Nissan simply makes great cars.

I have been very impressed with the vehicle as a whole. As with any vehicle, there are minor things I'd like to change (such as the inability to use the NAV system while driving) but overall, I love the car and highly recommend the SE version for the shifter. Not as much fun to drive as my Maxima, but no slouch for its size. (And it averages at 20MPG in the city, even at high altitude!)

I drove trucks and truck based SUVs for 16 yrs. because my business required towing trailers. I missed sporty car handling and mileage. I found a good handling, comfortable, efficent(for its size)utility wagon in the Murano. My 6'5" frame does not fit well in most cars but I am comfotable in the Murano with out a sunroof. The AWD works well in the sand when I launch my kayak from the beach. Handling on mountain roads is excellent. My wife and I love the room and comfort when traveling. We regulary take a 6 hr. trip with our 70 lb. dog and gear and the Murano is perfect for trips. On the road and seat comfort are tops. We actually fight about who gets to drive, That has never happened before.

I bought the best package because it was available slightly used (only 6500k miles. I owned a Ford Escape prior, so this is pure luxury for me. The comfort level is high, the leather is soft, and after having a hip replacement I've been able to drive easily and get in and out comfortably. The intelligent key is great! The Murano is sturdy and a great road trip vehicle. My passengers love it. I also love it for the not so necessary things, like the Bose system and the large sunroof. The only thing I don't love about it so far is the fact that the rear view is less "open" compared to the Escape, but I've gotten used to it. I feel the need to turn all the way around when making a turn.

Great vehicle. This thing accelerates like a sports car and has the firm and sure handling to match. This unit has the ability to go and stop fast, walk through deep snow sure footedly and to keep driving interesting and fun for many miles to come. The vehicle seems to be a unique cross between an SUV and a sports car. Nissan brings the best from each category to this platform with decent fuel mileage to boot. The dash is expansive and serves to hold a potentially large quantity of items, I believe that space could be more wisely allocated to the console area that seems too far down and forward to make easily accessible. This is a fine vehicle for a now emerging segment of cross-style SUVs.

The seats are very comfortable, We have the SL with key less entry which is great. Back Seats recline and there is a lot of leg room in the back. We have had several mechanical issues which never seem to be under warrenty. Really good pickup when starting

After owning a '98 Blazer and an '02 TBlazer I decided to try something different. The Murano is powerful, roomy, comfortable, fun to drive, and stylish. I recommend anyone looking for a new vehicle to test drive it and see for yourself. I've had it for four months now and have had absolutely no problems, which is more than I can say for the previous two SUV's I've owned.
