I must say that I am truly satisfied with my Murano. The comfort that comes with this vehicle is simple amazing. Nissan has outdone themselves with this baby; no joke, foreal! I traded in my 2001 Prelude Type SH, my favorite car of all-time, but for some reason, I haven't looked back. I would recommend this truck big-time!

The choice was between the Highlander, the 4Runner (I know, a very different beast), and the Murano. I liked the styling of the Murano, the interior space, but most of all the way it drives. The CVT transmission is very smooth, and gets this beast going very quickly. I have found the interior to be rattle free (and I got the SE with the tight suspension). I love the way you can flick the transmission into S from D and enjoy some engine braking while moving quickly down a windy road. FUN!

When I began looking for a new car, I knew I wanted to find an economical SUV. The Murano can't be beat in this category. I drive 25-30 miles to work each day and I routinely get 25 - 26 miles per gallon!! I live in the country and the 2WD model handles great on hilly, curvy roads - no need to pay extra for AWD unless you plan to spend some serious time off-roading. I traded in my Infiniti for this car (do not be fooled...the Murano is an Infiniti-quality car in disguise!). I test-drove the FX45 and the Murano proved to be, not only $8000 less, but better handling in wet conditions (it was raining during the test-drive) and easier to get in and out.

Was looking at an Explorer or a Honda CRV. Found the space and fun to drive in the Murano. Great highway handling with plenty of power and breaks makes my 42-mile drive each way to work is pleasure. Programming my garage door into the rear view mirror is a great feature. Cool gadgets and room for the kids, all in one vehicle. Was expecting better gas mileage (now getting 22 hwy / sticker is 25hwy). Overall very impressed with my first new Nissan. Used Costco membership on line and saved a lot!

Love this car...traded Audi A6 quattro wagon for it....the interior quality is not close to audi quality but Ill bet it turns out to be more reliable than the audi.....obsessed over FX35 for a long time which exceeds Murano in interior quality as well but it was 4 to 5 grand more....anyway Murano is fast, quiet, smooth, handles beautifully, and looks pretty good. Also has more room than audi which we needed.Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this car to anyone!!

Fit and finsh are superb. Wind and road noise are surprisingly low, unless any window(s) is down, even slightly, for buffeting is horrible. An open sunroof, even slightly, is extremely noisy, but open the sunroof as a "rear" vent, then the interior remains fairly quiet. Bose stereo is outstanding. Brakes, steering, and suspension are superb, as is the CVT. Engine is responsive and quiet. Setting the cruise control at 75 MPH, with the AC on while going up a steep hill, is no problem for this car. Increasing 4 PSI to tires adds almost 1.5 MPG. Glacier while is gorgeous.

Have owned the car for a couple of weeks. Its a great SUV. Bought it with all the bells and whisles, and love the features. Performance is super. Only 2 SUV's can blow this off the road, one is the Porsche SUV turbo other is the Infinity FX 45. Also, more powerful than many sports cars out there. And the 30-70 acceleration will leave some of these sports car guys scrathing their head. I wish I could see the expression on their face, but, they are always in the rear view mirror. If your looking for an SUV with performance at a great price, then, this is the one for you! And, rpm wise, crusing at 70 mph, with the rpms turning just above idle (1500rpm)) unbeleivable.

The week I picked my Murano we had a big snow storm. When I pressed the all wheel drive switch and backed out of my parking space I met a huge 18" wall of snow left by the snow plow. I plowed right through it with ease. The SUV is as good as any 4 wheel drive I've ever owned. I have been driving 4 wheel drives since 1969. I have owned aleast 9, 4 wheel drives from CJ Jeeps To Toyota 4runners

Picked up my Sheer Silver Murano SL AWD in May... and it's AWESOME! After testing driving and extensive research, I decided to trade in my 2001 Pathfinder for it. CVT 245 hp engine is quick and smooth (and quiet). Exterior design is sweet and interior is roomy. People have complained about "turbulence" when moon roof or backwindows only are open, but they have been misinformed. Dealer explained that the moonroof has a setting which addresses turbulence and as for opening only the back windows causing this, it also happens on other cars. Test drive one and you'll be hooked (plus, the fact that reviewers compare it to the BMW X5 at a $30K price). Nissan as another winner!

Bad Vibrations Skewing Review

The Murano has been perfect for our needs. Good style, great ride, great performance and good use of interior space. It provided all our one car family requirements (retired). We are not getting advertised gas mileage but will give it some time. Had to have a computer chip replaced after 200 miles to fix non working interior lights. Have a real concern about tremendous vibration and noise in car when back windows are open. Scared the devil out of us. Vehicle felt like back end was going to break away at 40+ MPH. Plan on taking this up with Nissan. Cannot keeo vehicle if not corrected.

I have only had my Murano for 10 days, but it is one of the best cars I have had. Comfort is important for me because I have had 4 back surgeries, and I find it very comfortable. I love the exterior styling, and the responsiveness of this vehicle. It is luxurious, attractive and functional, and has a bit of the old "muscle car" attitude. If it were a dance, it would be a Tango, smooth, sexy, powerful.

This is my second Nissan product, the first being a 1991 4D Pathfinder. I kept the Pathfinder until 1998 without doing so much as changing the brakes, tires & battery once...and of course the scheduled oil changes. This vehicle reminds me of why I like Nissan....everything about this vehicle is 1st class....from the design...to the ride...it is worth every penny.

This car is great! It is ultra quiet. The car has a very smooth ride. I was planning on buying a bmw x5. After I test drove this car. I went back to test drive it again. I decided to buy it. I have no regrets about it. The car has been great on gas mileage. The seats are very comfortable. This car has so many options available. My only problem is dealing with the dealer. I feel that the sales people were not throughly trained on every aspect of this vehicle. I would definitly recommend this vehicle 100 times over!

Nissan has hit a homerun with the Murano on the first pitch! This car is great on long trips. Gets terrific gas milage for a vehicle this size and turns heads everywhere I go. It has evey imaginable creature comfort but is not for whimps. Step on the gas and it really goes. If this car is as reliable over the long haul as it has been thus far, my instincts about buying this car in the first production year will have been proved right. Why can't American car makers design and build cars like this instead of all of the "so what" cars that come off of their assembly lines today.

Bought my Midnight Blue Murano in May. It is everything I expected and more. We recently took it on an 1100 mile trip and it performed extremely well in both rain and high winds. Very quite cabin when windows are closed. Quite the sound system, the bass come in loud and clear. Navigaton system is a trip...ha ha. We didn't bring any maps and she brought us to our destination without a hitch! I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who loves to drive. Great pickup and passing power. Beats the Highlander by 150% which was my 2nd choice. Glad I bought the Murano.

When we bought it, there was truly nothing like it on the market... CVT tranny, 18" wheels. It is a blast to drive and extremely practical. Drives and handles like a powerful sports sedan but sits you up higher and more comfortably more like a SUV or mini van. (But this for sure ain't no mini van...) We still get tons of compliments on it and it almost two years old. This is a real machine.

Fit and finish are exemplary, as are the engine and transmission. Acceleration is seemless, and it's quiet at speed. Braking and steering give confidence. The suspension feels taut yet supple. The interior is laid out nicely. Fuel consumption is below expectations. The Bose stereo system is wonderful. Easy to find a comfortable driving position. The sunroof is quite noisy when open. An awful buffeting sound when rear windows are lowered. Using the digital display control panel seemed daunting at first, but after a few minutes I found it to be easy to use and understand. Overall, the Murano is well thought out and pleasant to drive.

I was looking for a sports car or a SUV. I found them both in the Murano. I is fast. The ride is great except on bumpy streets is really stiff. It is true don't open your back widows while driving by themselves the cabin presure is unbarable. I will call Nissan about this and hope they can fix it or will trade for the Infiniti FX 35.

Drives wonderfully but there are a few annoyances: a rattle in the backseat somewhere that the dealership is having a hard time pinpointing--have had to take it 4 times and it's still not fixed; headlights look like they stairstep up to the right, as if they were stalled unevenly, but the dealership says they are all like that?; also, brakes squeal when putting the car into reverse, and again, the dealership claimed to have fixed the problem by cleaning off "the glaze" but the problem has not gone away.

The Murano is a solid choice in the mid- size SUV ranks. Nissan has got it right with the aggressive styling that makes most other SUV's look boring, ample power, excellent fit and finish, and the amazing CVT un-transmission that feeds power continuously, with no hesitation.

Nissan Murano is real fun to drive, very easy to handle, gives better gas milage. It offers many luxury features at much lesser price than the competition. Its CVT engine is cool and powerful. The back seats have more leg room, and five passengers can fit into the car very comfortably. Nissan has made good use of the interior and cargo space. Programmable memory seat and adjustable power pedals are kool and simple to use.

At this point I am still telling everyone that my Murano has to be the best vehicle out there for your money. Mine is blk with blk leather interior with all the bells and whistles and I love everything about it. Everything functions perfectly and I even enjoy relaxing in the rear seats which recline. Why spend the extra $20 grand for names like infinity or BMW when you get a superior vehicle with everything and anything you could possibly want in a vehicle. I have driven other vehicles(Range Rovers, Hummer H2's) and they have nothing on this. Buy this car you will never regret it!

Blown Engine at 3700 miles!!

Took the vehicle in for the first oil change at about 3700 miles and left dealer 40 minutes later. Drove about 5 miles and had the engine blow up. About a week later, a brand new engine was installed and found out that a connecting rod had come loose, gone through the oil pan and caused all engine oil to leak out, causing the engine to seize up and blowing a hole in the engine block. Had to argue with the dealer just to get a loaner car while the vehicle was in the shop. I was told Nissan does not give out loaner cars, but eventually one was given to me to drive for 11 days. The dealer was Rosenthal Nissan in Tysons Corner, VA.

I love this vehicle. It drives and handles very similarly to a sedan and gets me through the 12-18inches of snow that we occasionally get here. Plus it is very fast for its size. The stereo an six disc changer are very nice as well. Finally, the curb appeal is definitely there. My wife (who drives most of the time) was asked about the Murano every day for the first two weeks that we owned it. The only hitch is that I am getting 7-10 mpg less than the average that was advertised and 5- 8mpg less than the minimum stated in the driver's manual.
