Infiniti, BMW and Lexus watch out!
My wife and I just purchased the 3.5 SV premium fully loaded. The looks of this car are great inside and out. The engine and transmission are second to none for its class and there are enough gadgets on the car to make any gadget freak blush. There are 2 modes for driving: an automatic mode or an aggressive manual mode which we found impressive. We test drove the Infinity M35 AWD prior to our purchase and the Maxima gave it a run for its money; in some instances beating it. The car is roomy and comfortable, however if youre a person over 6 tall, I recommend not sitting in the back seat with the front seats all the way back. I would be surprised if this car didnt win best car of '09.
Glad I got it !
I had an 05 Acura TSX I wanted to upgrade. Test drove the TL, TL-Type S, BMW 3 series, then this Maxima. The Maxima gives you all the gadgets and goodies of the BMW, the luxury of the TL, and on top of that a better MPG rating with the CVT.

Nissan Security Flawed
I am a big Nissan Enthusiast and was very excited to get my 2009 Maxima. Overall it has been a great car, however, these week I was targeted by car thieves because they knew that the car had a security flaw. They were able to roll down both front windows unlock the doors and get in without setting off the alarm. When the police arrived they informed my that Maxima, Altima and G35 have had this issue since 2004! Why Nissan has not addressed this in the new Maxima model is beyond me. The estimate fix the damaged caused to the door skin and lock is over $1000 and I would still be vulnerable to future break ins. I am very disappointed in this development and Nissan's lack of accountability.
great car not a lot of high performace shocks
car's a joy to drive, wish there were more performance suspension parts available.

The Problem Car
My car was making a roaring noise so I took it to the dealer. The just about replaced the whole front it. The problems with the air condition was exhausting they had to replace the compressor, condenser and found out it was the intake sensor. Now the car is making a squeaking in the back which now it means it need shocks. This car has to many kinks in it that wasn't worked out.
