‘09 Maxima with 255,000 miles on it.
I bought my .Maxima new in ‘09. It came with every option except navigation. Things that no longer work or function properly: Electric tilt wheel only tilts/ no telescoping. Driver seat heat/cool function does not work. Everything else works. Car has the original engine and transmission. Always maintained. Committed 120 miles per day in it. All receipts. The car now needs an exhaust manifold. ( Did entire a/c system and brakes, tires over last two years..). Do you think I should fix it or let it go? It’s been ( obviously at 255,000 miles) an awesome car. Repair will probably cost $1,800 to $2,800.

Good Car!
Overall the Maxima is a good car. I came out of a BMW 550 so it was a little getting use too. The payment doesn't hurt as much! The CVT is strange in the beginning but is unnoticeable now. The car is deceiving, with the CVT you get the feeling that you are not going as fast as you actually are. Very roomy. Decent highway fuel mileage.

This is the Flagship
My wife and I have been waiting on this car for quite some time. we traded in our 05 Maxima for the 09 and don't regret a moment of it. The feel and style, the comfort, the technology, the thought that has gone into providing a true 4 door sports car is evident every time we get in to go somewhere. there are times we have to come up with excuse or reason just to go somewhere so that we can drive the car. My wife and I are Nissan fans anyway, we own a 05 Titan as well. Purchasing the new Maxima was a toss up between the G37S or the Audi A4.... obviously the Maxima won. This car is truly the Nissan flag ship and should be crowned as the 2009 car of the year. Hands down, great job Nissan!
My 09 maxima
I have a white one, black interior, fully loaded SV Sport (corners like its on rails). The exhaust note. What you expect is NOT what you get. You get more. The 09 Maxima is a 4DSC. No doubt. The Maximas transmission takes some getting used to. Once hooked you begin to wonder why all cars are not build this way.
Infiniti, BMW and Lexus watch out!
My wife and I just purchased the 3.5 SV premium fully loaded. The looks of this car are great inside and out. The engine and transmission are second to none for its class and there are enough gadgets on the car to make any gadget freak blush. There are 2 modes for driving: an automatic mode or an aggressive manual mode which we found impressive. We test drove the Infinity M35 AWD prior to our purchase and the Maxima gave it a run for its money; in some instances beating it. The car is roomy and comfortable, however if youre a person over 6 tall, I recommend not sitting in the back seat with the front seats all the way back. I would be surprised if this car didnt win best car of '09.
