I downsized from a 2005 BMW 545i, and I drove almost everything trying to emulate that ultimate ride. Well, good luck. This is a nicely equipped sedan, I got the S version with cloth seats. These can get pricey when you move up to an SV with various option packages. If you are used to a rear wheel drive sports sedan, you may not like the front wheel drive. I am having difficulty getting used to the handling drop off. I also drove the 300C and G8 GT, get those if you want rear wheel drive at a similar price point. I may trade it in early. Sigh.

I purchased this just before taking a road trip roughly 1200 miles round trip. This car is perfect, every where I go someone was asking me what it was. I got the white SV Sport Package. The leather seats are to die for and the pick is just outstanding. Another thing that I love about this car is when taking off from a full stop and punching the gas peddle I don't have to grab onto the steering wheel to control it. I live in the suburbs of DC and have only seen one other 09 on the road. I love this car!! Oh by the way this is my 3rd Maxima and 4th Nissan.

I’ve had many cars & I can honestly say this car is by far the best. Performance is amazing & very surprising to only be a V6. Raced many cars from A6 to a X5 & this car is outstanding. I have the sports & tech package so the paddle shifters definitely come in handy when looking for quick speed without having to throw it in sport mode like most cars. I travel a lot with my car so long distance as a driver is not bad. Gas really sucks & I HIGHLY recommend to use premium only... do not be cheap it will not only mess your performance up but you will notice your gas will burn tremendously. I own this car & definitely don’t plan on selling it. I will get another car before I sell. Has never let me down. Had it for about a year & put roughly 15,000 miles. Traveling from PA to FL & still running brand new.

2009 Maxima shines!
Smooth very comfortable ride. Decent visibility, and lots of airbags! Great sound system. (Bose). Larger V-6 does require premium gas. Mileage is good at 26 hwy but not great. Large trunk and rear passengers will be very comfortable with rear audio controls and air controls. Love it.

Great Car at a Great Price
I've always been a SUV guy, but with rising gas prices I started taking a look at a few of the larger sedans on the market. The 09' Maxima trumped all the other contenders... hands down. Fun to drive, decent gas mileage (about 20 mpg in the city so far), very comfortable, and it turns a lot of heads. I opted for the base package that includes a moonroof, power seats, 6 disc changer, 18 inch wheels, and cloth seats (although they are more like microfiber). Test drive this car, you will not be disappointed!
