Used 2023 Nissan GT-R Coupe Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2023 Nissan GT-R is a four-passenger coupe that's available in two trim levels: Premium and Nismo. Both are powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine making 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque in the Premium model and 600 hp and 481 lb-ft in the Nismo model. The engine is paired to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Both models share most of the same features, but the Nismo version gets a number of performance upgrades. Feature highlights include:

Premium
The GT-R Premium comes equipped with:

  • 20-inch forged wheels with high-performance tires
  • Sport suspension with electronically controlled Bilstein shock absorbers
  • Front and rear Brembo performance brakes
  • Limited-slip differential (for improved traction)
  • LED headlights and taillights
  • Power-folding and heated side mirrors
  • Keyless entry with push-button start
  • Leather upholstery
  • Power-adjustable, heated front sport seats
  • Aluminum and carbon-fiber interior trim
  • 11-speaker Bose audio system
  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Navigation system
  • Apple CarPlay smartphone integration
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • Front and rear parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)

The GT-R Premium has one notable optional package:

  • Premium Interior package
    • Upgraded leather upholstery
    • Additional leather interior trim

Nismo
The top-spec GT-R has been tuned by Nissan's Nismo performance division. Standard features carry over from the GT-R Premium with the exception of the parking sensors. Besides the extra power from the engine, the Nismo model has:

  • Nismo-tuned performance suspension with electronically controlled Bilstein shock absorbers
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes (for better resistance to brake fade during high-performance driving)
  • Lightweight 20-inch forged wheels with ultra high-performance tires
  • Wider front wheels and front fenders
  • Lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork
    • Roof
    • Front and rear bumpers
    • Trunklid
    • Rear wing
    • Rear diffuser
    • Side sills
    • Front fenders
    • Hood
    • Exterior mirrors
  • Synthetic suede-wrapped Nismo steering wheel
  • Recaro front sport seats with synthetic suede inserts
  • Red interior accents

Which GT-R trim does Edmunds recommend?

The Premium trim provides more than enough performance for most people and is the trim we recommend. Its notable standard features include a sport-tuned suspension with electronically controlled Bilstein shock absorbers, Brembo performance brakes, leather upholstery and a Bose audio system. But if you plan on taking your GT-R to the track on a regular basis, the track-specced Nismo version could be the way to go.
