THE UNDERDOG
I loved this SUV. Mitsubishi might not have the best reputation when it comes to their cars (aside from the Lancer Evolution) but this has to be one of my favorite SUV's I've ever owned. I was impressed with the fuel economy and cargo space. Although power wasn't my main focus when I bought it, but everything about this SUV was just perfect for my daily needs. If only finding Mitsubishi parts weren't so difficult I'd still be cruising in this enchanting beast.

Don’t buy this brand
Beyond disappointed with Mitsubishi. Will never buy this brand EVER again. I have owned an outlander for 2 years. It has been in the shop more than half of that time. It only has 43,000 miles. They refuse to cover a faulty part because we “kept driving on it” when we were told by a mechanic there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. I have spent more money than my down payment for this vehicle just fixing it. Issue after issue. Never again. Please think twice before purchasing from this brand.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE
Do not purchase unless you are looking to pay too much for cheap cheap quality! Where do I even begin...paint, door handles, seat material, windows and door and window seals all CHEAP. My dash stated making a noise as if something came loose in there two months after i purchased it. The vibration when tbe a/c is turned on is as bad as an old clunker fixing to die out on ou. I am the sole driver, not by any means hard on my vehicles (they are like my babies), and after 6 months i was ready to get rid of this one. I puchased it brand new with the stickers still on it. I am going on a year now of ownership and i can't wait to trade it in. However, the trade in value is the worst and for now i am stuck with it. Had i known what i was paying for ($27,388).....Don't say you weren't warned.

Not worth the money
We have 8,000 miles on the vehicle and so far have already received 2 recall notices from Mitsubishi Motors. The first one for faulty door latch components and just got another yesterday for defective relays involving the engine control unit. If the relay fails the engine will stall while driving and cannot be restarted. If the relay for the engine valve lift control fails, it limits the available engine power. If the relay for the radiator fan fails, the engine may overheat. We brought a vehicle that we thought we could rely on and with the recalls we are now in doubt. Because there are no local dealers in our area we have to drive 4 hours for a 1/2 repair or more to have the recalls taken care of. I'm disappointed in the reliability and lack of dealers. For the time we have to spend driving and the expense to get the recalls taken care of we do not feel that this vehicle is right for us and do not think I would recommend this vehicle to someone else.
