I bought a little over a year and ago and it’s already having transmission issues. It starts out my just a little jerking. Had transmission flushed n new put in. The issue persisted and now my car won’t move in drive or reverse. So now I’m going to have to put a lot of money into a car I bought 1 1/2 ago with 12,000 miles on it. I bought it used and it had not been in a accident as I was told. I. Can’t just take it in and get something else because I will flip way too much over. I’m so aggravated I will never buy a Mitsubishi again and will not recommend to anyone.

What it lacks in the interior it makes up for with the excellent reliability, good mpg if you don't floor the gas much & great acceleration whenever you floor it compared to most small sized SUV contenders

Poor insterior features and design

I recently rented a newer Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and was disappointed. The seat is not comfortable. The extra glass in the hatchback style makes your vision distorted as the two glass windows are separated by a partition and you see partial cars in the rear view. The radio and backup camera screen is placed so high and it protrudes so much out that you always see reflection of light/sun during daylight hours, making it almost impossible to see anything on the screen. Also the letters and numbers on screen are so DIM, you cant see them clearly. When you turn AC on, there is no light you have to see a symbol at another place to see if AC is on. Overall a foolish interior design. The steering wheel is super sensitive and you would be swerving if you are not holding it tight all the time.

Surprisingly pleased.

I got the 2020 Eclipse SE 2WD Model 6 months ago. Acceleration is ok around town; the CVT hampers drivability on take offs, but if you give it the "beans" it will respond appropriately. Power delivery is very good on the highway; throttle input on speeds over 50 MPH are generally swift. Vehicle stability is compromised during gusty winds on the highway; frequent steering corrections are needed. In the city, however, it's very nimble has a very easy driving nature; highly recommended for drivers whom are afraid (or lack the skills) to drive big vehicles. Handling is direct and secure but cornering comes with lots of body roll. Suspension set up its a mixed bag, the springs are overly soft but the shock-absorbers are very stiff making it "crash" on even moderate-size bumps. Interior space is adequate for the size of the vehicle; I found the construction materials to be very pleasant for a mainstream vehicle. I'm averaging 27 MPG on a 60% highway/40% city driving. Out the lot price for my SE 2WD trim was $24,500 with a generous Mitsubishi warranty. Dealership maintenance on these vehicles are dirty-cheap too.
